“We are Forerunners. Guardians of all that exists. The roots of the Galaxy have grown deep under our careful tending. Where there is life, the wisdom of our countless generations has saturated the soil. Our strength is a luminous sun, towards which all intelligence blossoms… And the impervious shelter, beneath which it has prospered.”

Friday T&A: Gratitude List Edition

This one will be relatively short, as I’m sure most of my readers – by and large Americans – have better things to do than read poasts on some blog while belching their way through the usual epic food coma that results from EXTREME overindulgence on Turkey Day. All I can say to you is: thanks for being my readers, nonetheless.

Seriously, I really appreciate it. I don’t do this for anyone other than myself. I started the old blog, Didact’s Reach, nearly 10 years ago because I was sick and tired of keeping my opinions to myself about politics and philosophy. I had a choice – either shout into the void, or go crazy.

To my immense surprise and even shock, it didn’t take me long to discover that I wasn’t alone, and that there were quite a lot of other similarly angry and disillusioned people out there who really wanted a different take on things, a new way of looking at the world.

As such things tend to do, the “new way” of doing things really turned back to the old ways, the ones that work, because the modern world around us is nothing more than a twisted and ruined facsimile of the old truths, built instead on lies and stupidity. Changing back to a world built on truth is going to be extremely difficult, but the process is already underway, and it is inexorable.

I thank you, therefore, for your continued patronage and support of Didactic Mind. The site continues to grow – slowly, and that’s kind of how I like it – and expand its reach through various different media. Having started out as a blog on Goolag’s “free” hosting service, it is now a proper shared-hosting site, with a podcast, a Telegram channel, and a real and proper community built around it.

None of this could have happened without you. So, thank you for that – thanks for being part of my journey, and thanks for sticking around for as long as many of you have. A few of you who read this site go back literally to the very beginning, all the way back to early 2013, and many of you have been around for 5 years or more. I know – I keep track of the comments.

Peace, goodwill, and blessings to you and your family.

And, hey, if you’d like to do a bit of shopping today or over the weekend, because you have relatives you either like a lot, or DON’T like at all – I know how you feel in both cases, believe me – then why not stop by my Amazog links and see if there’s anything you like?

As for the Instathot to close out the week – this here is Bianca Richards, age 30 from Australia but apparently half-Iranian, hence her rather exotic looks. As far as I am aware, she is not related to Keith Richards in any way – though, given he is older than the first bacterium, who can truly say? Also, given that she is half ‘Strayan, it’s fair to say that half of her WANTS TO KILL YOU AND EAT YOUR EYEBALLS FOR JUJUBEES!!! The other half probably isn’t quite so dangerous, but you never know.

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you. Enjoy your weekends and stay safe – the world is getting crazier and less stable by the day.
