“We are Forerunners. Guardians of all that exists. The roots of the Galaxy have grown deep under our careful tending. Where there is life, the wisdom of our countless generations has saturated the soil. Our strength is a luminous sun, towards which all intelligence blossoms… And the impervious shelter, beneath which it has prospered.”

Happy TACO Tuesday, everyone!

The news broke very late last night (my time, and Iranian time, though it was probably at around 7pm EST) that Angry Short Fat Trump had, at almost the very last minute, called off the so-called “civilisation-ending” strikes against Iran’s infrastructure, power plants, bridges, and oil and gas refineries. This followed days, if not weeks, of frantic diplomatic shuttling and mediation by the Pakistanis and Chinese behind the scenes, attempting to wrestle all parties into their respective pens and break the economic blockade that threatens to cripple the entire world.

The sequence of events has been as bewildering as it is welcome. First, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif published a short post on X, asking Drumpf to extend his non-aggression deadline by two weeks:

Then, Drumpf published the above post on TROOF SOWSHUL, and followed it up shortly thereafter with another one about how it is a big day for world peace.

It was then up to the global commentariat to try to figure out just what the hell everyone had agreed with, and this is everyone’s more or less best guess about what the Iranians demanded, and the Americans agreed – note, however, this is according to the Iranians:

  • Non-aggression commitment
  • Iran’s control over the Strait of Hormuz
  • Acceptance of Iran’s nuclear enrichment
  • Lifting all primary sanctions
  • Lifting all secondary sanctions
  • Ending UN Security Council resolutions
  • Ending IAEA Board of Governors resolutions
  • Paying compensation to Iran
  • Withdrawing US combat forces from the region
  • Ending the war on all fronts, including against resistance forces

And thus, after nearly 5 weeks of insanity and relentless retardery, there was a ceasefire – though, sadly, as we shall see, not for very long.

The first and most important thing we all need to say is:

THANK GOD!

Trump, as Always, Chickened Out, and so we had TACO Tuesday yesterday. For that, I am eternally grateful.

Thousands of innocent civilians have died since February 28, most of them Iranian, but many of them Lebanese, plus more than a few Gulf Arabs and migrant workers living in the GCC states. The shedding of innocent blood is NEVER sanctioned under Christian morality – it is always a sin.

(Catholics and more than a few Protestants will step in here with Augustinian “Just-War Theory”, but the Orthodox types will counter that there is no such thing; all war is a sin, and it is only justifiable to go to war if failing to do so will result in an even greater existential disaster. This is the Russian justification for the war in Ukraine, and I have to say, I agree with the Orthobros.)

And, although the Israelis themselves bear criminal responsibility for the start of this war, the plain fact of the matter is many innocent Jews have lost their lives as well. We cannot and must not forget this.

A ceasefire that stops the idiocy, the bombing, the slaughter of women and children, the insanity and madness, is entirely right and good. All thanks and praise be to Almighty God for the fact that it happened, and that it lasted at least a few hours.

Unfortunately, various people in Israel apparently failed to get the message, starting with the lunatic in power over there. Prime Minister Netanyahu insisted that the ceasefire did not cover Lebanon – when the Iranian side stated plainly that it did.

This was the first big problem with the ceasefire, as it was announced:

None of the sides involved made it clear exactly what terms were agreed.

This left holes in the terms large enough to pilot a Death Star through them, multiple times. And anyone who has ever seen the Izzraeli government in action, can see that, if you give them an inch, they will take a mile.

So, the Israelis launched a huge attack on Lebanon, and killed over a hundred people earlier today. Then, the OnlySheikhs clowns in charge of the UAE decided to get in on the action, and attacked Iran’s gas and oil facilities.

The direct consequence is that, tonight, the Strait of Hormuz has slammed shut again, Iranian missiles are flying toward Izzrael, and the OnlySheikhs are getting hammered.

Unbelievably, the Jews of Israel could not even give us all TWENTY-FOUR HOURS of peace. Even that was apparently too much for them.

Supposing, however, that all parties can be brought back in line by the Pakistanis, Chinese, and Russians – the latter are absolutely and unquestionably working the phones hard behind the scenes to get everyone to CHILL THE PHUCK OUT – and assuming the terms of the ceasefire are broadly in line with what the Persians published…

Then the implications are earth-shattering.

That is not an exaggeration, as hyperbolic as it sounds. The key caveat here is that no one knows exactly what the basis was of the two-week ceasefire (which at this point looks more like not even a two-day ceasefire). But, based on what Al-Jazeera and others were able to glean from various correspondences, the Iranians got their way on almost every key point, as noted in the list above.

IF those terms are accurate – and I have no way of knowing whether they are – then Iran has survived, and it has won.

Again, that is not an exaggeration. Back when this entire exercise in blithering idiocy started, I stated bluntly that the victory condition for the Iranian regime was simple:

Survival.

As long as it survived the first few days or perhaps the first week of the attacks, it would win. That is exactly what happened. The Persians had plainly learned some hard lessons from the 12-Day War last year, and they put in place a “Mosaic Plan” that decentralised targeting and military command authority to regional commanders and provincial governors. When their Grand Beardy Todger Supreme Poobah was taken out – along with quite a few innocent civilians, including a 14-month-old child – the man’s son stepped in and took over. The transition of authority and power was nearly seamless.

Iranian society, which had just a few months before been wracked by protests and extremely violent, almost certainly Western-instigated, riots and disorder, coalesced and united around their government. The Persians are an ancient, diverse, and very proud people – they have every right to be, given their history, civilisation, and accomplishments. They are one of the world’s great civilisation-states, along with Russia, China, India, Turkey, Japan, and a few others. And they proved their resilience and toughness over the past few weeks.

It was not uncommon to see signs in Tehran shops that basically said, “If you cannot pay for your bread today, take it for free, and pay when the war is over. While we are at war, no one goes hungry.” This was not a society that would break easily – contra the projections and assumptions of the Epstein Coalition.

Because of that resilience and unity, Iran has shown the United States and its military power – which is considerable, despite severe deficiencies in staying power and logistics – cannot defeat them. They are not Venezuela, or Iraq. They can take a degree of punishment that no previous foe since the North Vietnamese ever could.

Moreover, the ceasefire leaves Iran in charge of the Strait of Hormuz. It creates a situation which did not exist on February 27, where Iran and Oman between them are able to charge transit fees for oil, gas, and all other cargoes, in either Chinese yuan or stablecoins.

The implications of this are profound. The United States, for all its bluster and show, cannot preserve a vital, arterial trade route for the entire global economy – which means its entire purpose as an empire is null and void.

I have pointed out at length before that the entire reason for existence of an empire hinges on its ability to protect the trade routes that funnel resources and wealth from the vassals and allies at the periphery to the imperial centre. That is why empires have large and powerful militaries. The Iranians, having created multiple extraordinary empires of their own, understand this quite well.

Equally, for President “Trump” – whoever he is – this is a colossal defeat. Drumpf has destroyed his entire Presidency and legacy. It is a virtual certainty that he will lose the House and probably the Senate in the midterms to the Daemoncrats. The very party that was in total disarray just 18 months ago, is resurgent, and is running on a message of “unaffordability” – a term that the jackasses never define, but the solution to which is always and everywhere more redistribution from the rich to the poor. (It never actually works out that way; socialism ALWAYS results in the redistribution of wealth in the exact opposite direction.)

If – and, again, it is a BIG “if” – the Iranian terms listed up above are accurate, then the FUSA has suffered the single most catastrophic defeat in perhaps its entire history.

The Iranians have served an eviction notice to the American Empire. They have severely damaged, and in some cases rendered uninhabitable, some of the most important American bases in the Gulf region. They have exposed American air “defence” for the laughably impotent relic that it is. They have taken the absolute worst punishment the American Air Force can dish out, and they have withstood it. They have proven to the world that they have the ability to destroy all shipping going through a critical global trade route – which means, as I said earlier, that they have full control over it.

Moreover, if the ceasefire holds, and if it turns into a true peace agreement, the Iranians have every ability to use the tolls they collect from oil and gas transits – and it looks like they will charge something like US$0.5-1 for every barrel of oil or cubic metre of gas going through the Strait, which comes to anywhere between US$1-2M PER TANKER – they will rake in something like 20% of their current nominal GDP through transit fees alone, based on one estimate I saw earlier today. This will be enough, and more than enough, to rebuild what the Epstein Coalition damaged and destroyed.

And there is NOTHING the FUSA and its regional allies can do about it.

They have lost. The Empire has lost. And we are watching the reshaping of the entire world order before our eyes.

The Iranians have done what the Russians could not and would not with the Ukraine War, because the latter wanted to keep the war contained as thoroughly as possible and avoid a global thermonuclear war. Iran, by contrast, directly and asymmetrically escalated the conflict by targeting US bases in the region and hitting the West in its most critical vulnerability – energy. They shielded themselves from the threat of nuclear war by their very proximity to the world’s most important energy production sites, and used that shield in their favour.

Say what you will about the Iranians – they know how to do this “geostrategy” thing. But then, you would expect that from the same people who basically invented the game of chess. (“Shahmat”, as they call it, is where we get the term “checkmate”, and as far as I can tell, it basically comes from the Persian version of, “kill the king”, or something similar.)

This is nothing short of a massive geopolitical defeat for the FUSA, in a very real sense. Drumpf has been humiliated before the entire world. The best he can do is to pretend that he has won some great victory, and walk away from the entire mess that he created – thanks to his relentlessly stupid Boomercuck insistence on following the Izzraelis straight into the mouth of Hell.

The damage to the US’s reputation and global standing is severe, and probably irreparable. No one in his right mind will ever trust the US again in negotiations – the Iranians certainly do not. Right now, as I write this, they are pointing out that the US violated the ceasefire terms, and that is what they expected, given past history. The US under Drumpf has a history of assassinating and kidnapping the very leaders with whom it is negotiating – and under other Presidents, it has simply ignored or lied outright about what the other side wants and says. This is not a trustworthy or mature nation – which means it cannot be treated as anything other than a nuclear-armed bully that must be contained and isolated.

That is precisely how the Russians, Chinese, and even the eternally stupid Indians will treat the FUSA now. So will the rest of the world, and with very good reason.

As for the Izzraelis, the eschatologically challenged idiots who started this entire insane war… They continue to try to slaughter everyone around them, but are themselves being thrashed. They have lost all sympathy that they once had from the global community. Outside of the West – and a declining share of people there, at that – no one cares any longer about their Holocaustianity and their whining.

The Israelis did this to themselves. They have no one else to blame. They decided to use the power and might of the US military to achieve what they themselves could not, and oversold and overhyped a regime-change exercise that has blown up catastrophically in everyone’s faces. In the process, they have destroyed the very protector that they sought to manipulate and use.

It is well past time for the FUSA to walk away from the entire Israel Project, and leave the Middle East alone. The end of the American Empire is upon us, and we are all witnesses to the horror and glory of its collapse.

All the geniuses are crawling over one another to proclaim the decency and greatness of “civilized” Iran over “barbaric” America, and find in a mutual capitulation a great victory for “civilization.” How did so many become so enamored of such a brutal, totalitarian, anti-Christian, murderous, theocratic regime? Is it really all just about DJT?

What is your evidence that Iran is actively anti-Christian? Yes, conversion to Christianity carries severe penalties – yet the Christian communities there are protected. They have Christian MPs in their parliament, along with a Jewish, a Zoroastrian, and two Armenian MPs. This past Holy Week, Iranian Christians celebrated Palm Sunday, the Passion, and the Resurrection without issues – whereas Israel banned Christian leaders from entering the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem. Even Iranian clerics themselves admit that Izzlam is losing out, with the Christian community there growing every year.

Where is your evidence that the Iranian regime is truly totalitarian? Have you seen videos of what Tehran, for instance, is like in everyday life? It is as normal and as free-wheeling as Moscow, London, or Singapore.

Where is your evidence that the regime is as murderous as you say? If you are going to quote that figure of “30,000 killed by the regime” in the recent violent uprisings and protests, you should know that it is a fiction, made up by Western whore-media. The Iranian government itself states that at least 3,000 people died during Western-backed and Western-orchestrated protests earlier this year. And that is before we get to the documented fact that many of those rioters burned down shops, homes, and mosques, and attacked police with lethal force.

Let us be clear: there are NO good guys in the region, at all. But there is also no question that Iran was attacked without cause, provocation, or reason, and it has won a real victory that fundamentally alters the geopolitical reality of the entire world.

Iran’s survival IS a victory for a great civilisation with a history that is at least ten times longer than that of the United States. Iran proved to the world that the American Empire can be fought to a standstill, and that there are real limits to American power, despite its perfidy, treachery, and near-total control over media narratives. And it has accelerated the end of the “unipolar moment”, which can only be seen in the long run as good for both the US and the world.

This is not about Trump, it is about pointing at the truth and being objective about hard realities confronting us.

kind of weird how you’re fine with ISRAEL murdering Christians in Beirut. don’t now pretend that you care about Christians in the middle East / North Africa, not after 20 years of American foreign policy ( in service to Israel ) having been spent decimating the oldest Churches in Christendom.

yes, the Orientalist and Orthodox Churches of the Levant were formed BEFORE the Church of Rome.

We do ourselves a disservice when we refer to Russians and bucket-headed morons that can’t build a washing machine, Chinese as crafty copycats that can’t design anything for themselves, and Iranians as ignorant backwards goat humpers. These cultures are thousands of years older than us, and aren’t stupid.

I don’t see it as being a fan-boi by simply recognizing how the field is striped.

Do you think that Iran didn’t plan out this very scenario when they were attacked last year? Do you think China and Russia didn’t either? It’s not being enamored to recognize this happened. Our own military has war-gamed this for years, and nearly every model predicted this goat rodeo.

It was a dumb move that defies logic and sense.

Empires do not go gently into the quiet night; history tells us that. The longer Hormuz is closed the larger the culling of the species thru starvation will be. PAN-FA-WAR stolen from Micheal Yon, coming soon planet wide.

There’s no telling what’s going on here. I can just see the Chinese yelling at us and Israel like Tom yelling at Sonny in the first Godfather – “This is bad for business! No one is making any money!” Going to the mattresses as we’ve done was just as stupid, especially by attacking during negotiations.

I think the Russians had the best description for us – an unreliable partner. I think that’s generous. The real winners here will be China and Russia. Like them or not, they are nothing if not consistent. Why would anyone negotiate with the US? We clearly lie and can’t keep a deal. I can see where most the world would simply not bother with the US any longer. Russia and China would be a safer bet, especially for those in that hemisphere.

Trump will get hammered in the mid-terms. If the dems get into power like they did with Biden, it’s all over. They are incapable and unwilling to fix the damage we’re causing to ourselves now. Going to be some dark years. It is, however, the crisis phase of a fourth turning, with the peak yet to come. We are in the last five years of the turning.

One thing for sure, I don’t want my kids or grandkids to be sacrificed for Israel’s and the Gulf States interests. You can’t shrug your shoulders and say “Who cares, we get very little through the straights of Hormuz. So what” and then make any argument for us being over in that region whatsoever.

The best explanation for Trump doing this, as well as Venezuela and severing Europe from Russian energy, is to save the petrodollar. That actually makes sense. Won’t happen. But it makes sense. Losing that is an existential crisis to these politicians and how they run the US.

    holy crap.

i’ve just started reading up on the King David Hotel … and damn, does it demonstrate that every single Israeli prime minister has been a lying genocidal retard. even on the Wiki article, it just gets stupider and more absurd on an almost sentence by sentence basis. and that’s as whitewashed as they can make it.

and the Israelis did this to their British allies who were the other half of the decades long conspiracy ( going back to the Balfour Declaration in WW1 ) to steal Palestine and give it to the Jews.

this is how Jews treat their gentile “friends”.

One dumb question I have – by lashing out at all their Middle Eastern neighbors instead of their American and Israeli aggressors, doesn’t Iran run the risk that all of them will get pissed off enough to form a coalition and invade them to stop it? I guess it depends on who they’re more afraid of – the Epstein Alliance or Iran – and if Iran limits themselves to Epstein Alliance targets vs. indiscriminate killing of civilians like they’ve been doing, they could certainly claim the moral high ground. I also have no idea what kind of threat that coalition could embody if the “greatest military on earth” can’t even do its one job of keeping trade routes open.

I say this as an American who thinks this whole venture was an unbelievably stupid idea. At the very least they could have absorbed the lessons of the 404 war and the new 5GW reality before kicking this off.

The short answer is: no, because Arabs.

      The somewhat longer answer is:

No, because the Gulf Arab states are quite weak militarily, and also have significant internal fractures and divisions. This comes from being Arab. The best expression of the Arab mindset comes from that old saying, “me against my brother; me and my brother against our father; my family against my tribe; my tribe against the world”, or words to that effect. The Arab mentality stops at the level of tribe. They cannot perceive of allegiances beyond this.

On top of this, you have the classic Sunni-Shi’a divide within the GCC countries. Most Arab countries have significant Shi’ite minorities, including Bahrain – which is basically an island connected to Saudi Arabia – and Iraq. The Sunni-Shi’ite divide goes back some 1,400 years, and the Shi’ites will not side with Sunnis who wage war against the holiest sites in their religion.

That all helps explain why the Qataris and the Saudis cannot stand each other; why the Emiratis have geopolitical interests against the Saudis; why the Kuwaitis – who used to be part of Iraq – do not want to get entangled with any of it; and why the Iraqis and Bahrainis, who have substantial Shi’a majorities, will not intervene.

And of course, none of them amounts to a puddle of piss in military terms, except the Saudis, and they depend entirely on American weaponry. As we have seen, that weaponry can do a great job of slaughtering civilians, but is of quite limited value against a competent military.

Instead of uniting the GCC against them, the Iranians have ripped away the illusion of the American defence shield, and have shown the GCC how fragile their economies really are. Just for the OnlyFans Arab Emirates, recovering their reputation as a safe place to make tax-free money, will take the OnlySheikhs years – if they can ever do it.

as i understand it, Iran has mostly been hitting Arab countries which host US mil bases. as well, they’ve often been hitting the bases and US C&C facilities.

balanced against this, you have Israel attacking everybody they can reach while in the middle of their openly acclaimed goal of genociding the Palestinians.

the other Arab countries have no particular reason to like the consequences they’re suffering. but they have to admit that Iran is pretty much the only major muslim nation that is constructively doing something about the Palestinian issue. and they likewise must admit Iran is fully justified at this point in waging war against the Epstein Alliance in any way they see fit.
