“We are Forerunners. Guardians of all that exists. The roots of the Galaxy have grown deep under our careful tending. Where there is life, the wisdom of our countless generations has saturated the soil. Our strength is a luminous sun, towards which all intelligence blossoms… And the impervious shelter, beneath which it has prospered.”

Friday T&A: Starlight Edition

Just a couple more days, and we get to the very best day of the year. Christmas is almost upon us – for me, always a truly special and wonderful day. Every year when I was a child, we would go to the old country to spend that time with my grandparents and relatives.

Later, as those grandparents died and my close family members went on their own journeys, those big family gatherings reduced down to just immediate family – and, later still, as we kids developed our own lives and found our own partners, that too went away.

But something about Christmas always stood out in my mind – no matter where I was, it called me home, at some level.

This Christmas is in many ways no different than any other. It is a time for family, friends – and, for us as Christians, faith. Most of all, it is about faith – in a promise of salvation that took on human form as a tiny infant who grew into the greatest man who ever lived.

But this Christmas is also different in a very significant way. For the first time in more than a generation, we find ourselves enmeshed in a global war with the highest possible stakes. Yet the sides involved are radically different from the ones we might have expected in our childhoods.

If you had told me ten years ago – hell, FIVE years ago – that the Western “nations” would essentially allow themselves to become enslaved vassals of an Empire of Lies, led by Pharisatanists of the worst kind who peddle the GloboHomoPaedo ideology, and that RUSSIA, of all countries, would rededicate itself to its Christian roots and would lead the fight back to nationhood, sovereignty, and freedom, I would have laughed at you. The prospect would have been too ridiculous for words.

Yet that is precisely the war we find ourselves in right now. It is a global war, and it will not end until the Empire of Lies is smashed utterly and destroyed – and it MUST be, because it is built on lies, and by definition, that cannot withstand the truth.

As I have said many times, a grain of truth is enough to knock down a mountain of lies – though it may take years, decades, or even centuries to happen. Yet the power of truth is undeniable, no matter how hard we try to turn away from it – because truth is, by its very nature, uncomfortable and difficult.

But truth has one quality that makes it worth seeking:

It is a fixed point, a guiding light for all of us. We never need to worry whether we are heading in the right direction, because it blazes brightly for all of us, and calls us to it.

That light, in the form of one bright star in the heavens, guided the magi to one very special infant, more than two thousand years ago. It shines for us still – all we have to do is pay attention to it, and let it lead us.

In a world of lies, the truth is our rock and our refuge – and it must become our singular point of focus in the months and years ahead.

And with that thought in mind, let us get to the last thot before Christmas. This here is Alexis Clark, age 24 from Miami, Floriduh. She is some sort of fashion and bikini model (no surprises there), and she claims to be all-natural. Oddly enough, I actually can more or less believe her.

Happy Christmas to you all, be safe and well, and enjoy the blessings and wonders of this greatest of all seasons with your friends and family.
