“We are Forerunners. Guardians of all that exists. The roots of the Galaxy have grown deep under our careful tending. Where there is life, the wisdom of our countless generations has saturated the soil. Our strength is a luminous sun, towards which all intelligence blossoms… And the impervious shelter, beneath which it has prospered.”

Houston, we have a problem…

Not the most original post title, I will
admit, but it sums up the situation we find ourselves in today. By
“we”, I mean all of humanity, and by “problem”, I mean we’ve got “the great-great-great-grandmother of a storm
kind of disaster headed our way. And the worst thing about it is that
this disaster- really several different disasters all related to each
other- is of our own making.

I won’t go into an exhaustive diatribe
listing all of the ways in which government, feminism, and socialism
have destroyed our future. (Mostly because Bill Powell did it
for me already.) It is, however, worth exploring a few of the biggest
problems we face. I’ll probably expand on each of these in turn, and more, through various blog posts in future.

  • Feminism has been nothing
short of a catastrophe for mankind. As a libertarian, I have no problem
whatsoever with women who want to work and have a career; I have no
problem with women possessing the same natural (NOT legal)
rights as men, which should be self-explanatory. I do not want to see
women relegated to the status of chattel as they were so often
throughout history in various pagan societies, and as they are currently
in Islamic ones. None of this means, however, that women are equal
to men. They simply aren’t, and anyone who cannot accept the
biological, genetic, empirical, and logical evidence that this is true
needs a serious reality check. When women use the power of the ballot
box to take the rights of men, whether through no-fault divorce
laws, “equal opportunity” laws that discriminate against men, quota laws
that mandate how corporations are managed, or through the destruction
of the institutions of church and marriage, then they are an outright danger to civilisation. That danger must be fought and contained with every (non-violent) means at Man’s disposal.
  • Socialism has many forms, all
of them evil and terrible. Feminism is really just the latest offshoot
of this ideology. Socialism is at its core an acquisitive ideology- it
is nothing short of a complete violation of Biblical Scripture, for one.
It argues that you have no rights except those given to you by some
central authority- and asserts that this central authority is valid only
through the application of the laws of Man, not the laws of God.
By contrast, classical liberalism or libertarianism argues that Man is
given certain natural rights simply by virtue of his birth, and that no one
save God Himself may remove these rights. The price we have paid as a
species for implementing socialism in its various forms is truly
appalling. We lost around 150 million people to Communism in the 20th
Century; we lost millions more to its less radical relative, Fascism.
Today we are faced with a “kinder and gentler” socialism that is no less
deadly, that argues that government is your master and your rights are
derived not from God but from the State. This will not end well.
  • Islam is not, and has never
been, a religion of peace. Islam is not even truly a religion, it’s a
political movement with a religion layered on top of some very nasty
political imperatives. Those who do not understand Islam will assuredly be destroyed by it, as Western governments throughout the world are slowly but surely discovering. There can be no accommodation with Islam,
mostly because Islam has always refused accommodation with everyone
else. Islam has been at war with, well, everyone else since the 7th
Century, and that Long War will only end in one of two possible
outcomes- global Islamic hegemony, or complete defeat and destruction.
Right now, the balance is definitely shiftingtowards
the former. It is not a coincidence that many commentators on political
Islam have noted the similarities between the rise of Islam and the
rise of Communism. The two ideologies are in fact quite similar, with
the exception of the stress that Islam places on the faith in Allah.
  • Fiat money is nothing short of a gigantic mistake. Fiat currencies have existed for centuries; the earliest known users
of the stuff were the Chinese, back in the 6th Century. It didn’t work
any better for them back then than it is working for us now. The global currency system we are using today is a Ponzi scheme of truly pants-wetting proportions. There is not one example of a fiat money system that has EVER survived catastrophic hyperinflation. The US dollar will be destroyed, though unlike Peter Schiff and others, I do not foresee (immediate) hyperinflation. See Vox Day’s most excellent analysis on the subject for more details.

And that’s just for starters. The list
of everything that is wrong with America alone, never mind the rest of
the world, is gigantic. The worst thing about it is that we did this to
ourselves. We denied the natural rights of Man, the differences between
men and women, the dangers of excessive government, and the power of the
free market. Today we are faced with an enervated West, an ageing East, and a resurgent Islamic middle.

Given everything that it has done to
itself, there is not, and has never been, a civilisation that merits
complete and utter destruction so richly as that of the West. The
question is, what will replace it once the final cataclysm takes place?
Personally, I have no idea. But I do know that if you honestly believe
that any of the problems we face today can be easily resolved, then you
need to have your head examined. There is no way out of this mess. All
that any of us can do is try to ensure that we are ready for what comes
afterwards- hopefully, a way for men to be strong and independent and
above all else FREE.
