“We are Forerunners. Guardians of all that exists. The roots of the Galaxy have grown deep under our careful tending. Where there is life, the wisdom of our countless generations has saturated the soil. Our strength is a luminous sun, towards which all intelligence blossoms… And the impervious shelter, beneath which it has prospered.”

Didactic Mind, Ep 40: The New Cold War

by | Aug 2, 2020 | Podcasts | 1 comment

The latest episode of the Didactic Mind podcast is up. This week is all about economics, politics, and history, and concerns the new Cold War being fought right now between the USA and China. In this podcast, I argue that Cold War 2 can actually be won pretty easily by the USA, and that China has some serious economic, structural, and military problems that will stop it from reaching regional and global dominance. I view the current situation through the lens of history, looking at the previous Cold War between the USA and the USSR, and I talk about the lessons that we need to learn from the way that St. Reagan Magnus of the Right won the Cold War.

Here is the embedded podcast:

Plenty of references in this week’s podcast for you to peruse, almost all of which I have personally read and viewed – except for the one by Pat Buchanan. These are all well worth reading and watching, especially the superb documentary, In the Face of Evil, which is a magnificent film and must, in my opinion, be watched by everyone on the Right to understand what the Cold War really was.

And here is the embedded YouTube video from Australian National University in Canberra, consisting of an economist and a strategic analyst discussing the reasons why China will not become the dominant power in Asia:

That video is well worth watching (or listening to) in full. It is a cogent, precise, and well-reasoned analysis of China’s severe economic problems, which I barely touched upon in the podcast. I didn’t even go into the fact that China’s supposed “nuclear option” of dumping America’s debt would actually blow back in their faces almost instantly, and remove their ability to manipulate the yuan immediately.

Now, none of this is to say that America will win the new Cold War. America has huge structural problems of its own, the biggest of which is the fact that it is no longer a nation. China knows this and is willing and able to exploit it. The God-Emperor is fighting a difficult, and probably losing, war to keep his country together and intact, and he’s having a very tough time of it. America’s victory IS NOT inevitable.

I’m just saying that, if the USA plays its cards right and keeps up the massive trade pressure on China, it is likely to win.

    Great Podcast.

It is interesting to get your take on the Cold War between China and the USA.

I would add something different to what Vox Day has said on China Demographics.

The reason why they might want a hot war is the Demographics. They are running out of time. They might be aggressive to try and get power before it all collapses. To steal the women of other countries and kill off some of their men. It will not work only a patch and note would not solve the underlining problems.

This is the pre cold war way nations used to try and to be honest it has rarely worked out for any nation. Just look for example at Europe after WW1.
The USA nuclear threat might make this impossible.
Korea, Taiwan, Australia and Indochina (Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia) would be potential targets that China could takeover and improve their demographics in the short term if not for the US.
Japan is going to rearm and only need air and navel to be impossible.
    India will also be impossible.
As for Africa will not help their demographics and they will not breed with the Africans.

In the long term the current CCP is doom and not China or the Chinese people.
Even if they force women breeding, pay women to have kids or putting Chinese embryos into foreign women.

I can see them solving the demographic but unlike the west it is a horrible ways.

The west will unfortunately I think it will take a cold winter to reverse (a lot of death during to nature) the demographic trends.

First would be to kill off the old people like the Cultural Revolution and start a new wave of bloody terror.

Second is China having another civil war.

This has been something that during different periods of China goes through.

The old people will suffer and it will not be safe to leave the house, so women they will turn back to tradition ways.

This is a nightmare scenario but the history of China show this time after time. Ming, Qing and CCP are all bloody periods.
This would be the end of their global trade, expansion and sea power. The least of the worries to those that would suffer during the Bloody period.

I would say pray that the solution is peaceful and this does not happen.
