Yes, this is late again, and that is because I was at a concert on Friday, and then spent most of Saturday recovering. If you have ever been to a death metal concert – never mind a Viking death metal concert – you know how much that takes out of you, especially as you get to around my age.
That said, the news from the last couple of days has been rather interesting. Yesterday, we saw that Ornj Boi had apparently struck an energy deal with the Neo-Tsar, in which America will buy several million tonnes of diesel fuel from the Russians. This is a transparent attempt at market manipulation ahead of the midterms, of course; Drumpf apparently has finally twigged to the reality that the American people HATE these idiotic and insane wars in Ukraine and Iran, into which Donny-boy has embroiled the US, and perhaps has seen the newest polls that indicate a 9-point advantage to the Daemoncrats.
This is not because Americans like Daemoncrats. The Evil Party is more evil than ever. It is just that the Stupid Party is directly responsible for the near-doubling of diesel and gasoline prices across the country. This has jacked up inflation at precisely the same time as the labour market is suffering and stagnant. Any reasonable man would look at this record, with a Republicuck President in charge, and conclude, quite rightly, that the Stupid Party deserves to lose power.
Not, of course, that this will make anything better. Under the terms of the deal, the Russians are apparently going to send about 4.8 million tonnes of diesel fuel to the US, over a not-actually-very-clear timeline. Larry Johnson from SONAR21 crunched the numbers (probably with the help of AI – you can tell if you read his work regularly, as I do), and he computed that it comes to just shy of 36 million barrels of diesel.
This sounds like a lot – until you realise that the US consumes, all on its own, close to 3.8 MILLION barrels a day of diesel.
So the deal with Russia covers a little over about 9 days’ worth of American consumption.
This cannot, therefore, solve the current shortage of diesel fuel in the US – a shortage which, we must always remember, is due ENTIRELY to Drumpf, Izzrael, and the Epstein Class, who went to war with Iran for NO GOOD REASON WHATSOEVER.
The ONLY reason there is a critical energy shortage around the entire world, is because the two avenues of export from the Middle East are now being squeezed – by Iran in the Strait of Hormuz (compounded by an idiotic American “blockade of the blockade”), and by the Houthis in the Bab El-Mandab Strait in the Red Sea. And the ONLY reason these two squeezes exist, is because the US, under Trump, decided to bomb Iran, for the sake of Izzrael.
Trump is ultimately entirely responsible for these disasters. He will reap what he has sown in the midterms. If he is then impeached, because the Republicucks lose the House and the Senate, then that is entirely on him. He was weak when he should have been strong, and the entire US will pay the price for his lack of will.
