I got a comment the other day on the Telegram channel, during a lively and spirited discussion about the merits of the metric system, when our resident Kraut shoved his liverwurst in and said, basically:
You know Metric Mind Virus (MMV) is bad, when it has our humble host defending the commies…
Well… you know what? Considering that I am an outright Russophile, and will be going to Russia soon (assuming the crazy imperialist capitalist wars in the Middle East do not cancel my flights), and should be there for the Victory Day celebrations on May 9th…
Perhaps it is time to say it outright.
Yes, the Commies were right, comrades!
Indeed, Communism is clearly and obviously a better economic and political system than capitalism. Just look at what capitalism and free markets have wrought upon us all, comrades. The glories of Communism were on display for us all to see throughout the 20th Century, and they remain with us to this very day:
And that is before we get to the architecture:
I have seen a fair amount of Brutalist architecture throughout my travels. You will find quite a few good examples in Georgia, Bulgaria, and Serbia, to this day. It provides an outstanding glimpse into the proper proletariat mindset and way of life, and deserves to be preserved, not torn down.
Of course, I am aware that I have written and said many harsh things about Communism, and Communists, in the past. Indeed, if you search through the pages of this site, you will often find sentiments such as, “shooting Communists on sight should be entirely legal, as a matter of national self-defence”, or words to that effect.
I should make it clear here and now that this no longer reflects my view. The epic and terrible failures of capitalism are such that we must now embrace a proper collectivist, Marxist-Leninist philosophy, which takes from the rich and gives to the poor. It will indeed be a world in which each gives according to his ability, and each takes according to his need.
There will be no more hunger, no more thirst, no more sadness or fear or suffering – only the glorious worker’s paradise, Comrades! It will be beautiful to behold!
Indeed, we all had a chance to live in such a place, back during the glorious revolution of 1917 in Russia. But the evil capitalists stifled this, and then tried to break the Soviet Union’s will to survive. They failed, because they can never conquer the true proletarian spirit, and they can never overcome a united country’s desire to preserve itself, its people, and the revolutionary fervour.
You can see the most impressive adaptation of such thinking and action in modern-day China, where Xi Jinping Thought has made such tremendous strides in bringing peace, plenty, and happiness to the over 1.4 BILLION people of that country:
And of course we cannot forget the amazing contributions of the Dear Leader of Best Korea:
Truly, we are blessed to have such legendary leaders amongst us, who gently and wisely guide their people through the turbulence created by the follies and madness of the imperialist capitalist running dogs!
So, the next time you see me, I will be distributing the works of Mao, Lenin, and Stalin on the nearest street corner, giving away my possessions, and living the life of a proper Communist revolutionary. Viva la revolucion, Comrades!
Just in case anyone here took any of that seriously – LOOK AT THE DATE, YOU IDIOTS!
If anyone needs to know what my actual stance on Commies is – it remains unchanged:

…
and frankly, that’s good enough for me.
Rafal Gan Ganowicz, Francisco Franco, and of course Augusto Pinochet are all my heroes (Vladdy Tepes is in the Hall of Fame too). The present and the future will need many people like my heroes to step up in a big way, maybe it could be me….? The future belongs to those who show up.
“proper collectivism” is a great phrase, very amusing
The only thing I was disappointed was the joke wasn’t on why you are moving back to windows. Haha oh man
