Here we are at another Friday the 13th, which must make one Jason Vorhees very happy indeed – because this year, of all years, he gets to celebrate his birthday THREE TIMES, presumably by going on killing spree involving various young and very stupid campers. The rest of us, however, have little reason to celebrate. Operation: ARE YOU SHITTIN’ ME continues unabated, and it is absolutely clear to anyone with even HALF a working brain, that it has gone HORRIBLY wrong.
This was not the war the Ameribros thought it would be. They reckoned that if they just killed the Grand Chief Beardy Todger of Iran, the entire government would collapse like a house of cards. To their surprise and shock, however, nothing of the sort happened. The Persians promptly elected a new Grand Poobah Beardo, who just so happens to be the son of the previous one.
In a way, one could argue this represents stunning efficiency on the part of the American government. There are already dark jokes on Telegram about how the US took 20 years to replace the Taliban with the Taliban in Afghanistan. It only took them a year to replace one Khamenei with another. This, surely, represents an improvement.
Nevertheless, the fact is that things have panned out pretty much as I expected they would. This war has been one colossal fustercluck from start to present, and there is no end in sight.
It is here that I must point out an interesting episode that occurred on the Telegram channel over the past couple of weeks. We had a commenter in the chat channel, who suddenly became very active and vocal, and took the view that the Ameribros under “Saint Trump” were absolutely correct to bomb Iran and knock out what he called an irrational and insane regime.
When confronted and challenged by the other commenters in the channel, he started to rage-spiral very quickly. His spelling went from bad to worse to non-existent. When I then weighed in and started dismantling his arguments methodically, point by point, he began responding respectfully and calmly, but very quickly got out of control there, too.
Eventually, he picked up his ball and went home in a huff, exiting the channel after telling me and everyone else to just wait and see how things are on March 13th. He expected the Iranian regime to fall by today, and the US to be victorious.
Well, here we are, and… nothing of the sort happened.
This was not exactly hard to predict. I cannot take credit for being any kind of smartass here. All of this – every last bit of it – was obvious from the start. It was absolutely clear that Drumpf never had any plan, objectives, strategy, or coherent though process in going to war. All we can say with any reasonable certainty, is that he started bombing Iran because he felt he had no choice – and that it was Netanyahu and the Israelis who forced his hand.
I am guessing there was a nuclear threat involved, or possibly some kind of extreme blackmail against members of his family and Administration. These threats left him with no room for manoeuvre, and so he went to war – even though he did not want to do so.
This does not in any way excuse Drumpf for what he has done. Ornj Boi always had agency. He holds personal and direct responsibility for the deaths of, by now, at least 14 American service members – and almost surely the death toll is far higher now – plus the wanton destruction and devastation taking place across the Middle East. He has destroyed his Presidency, and it is ENTIRELY his own fault.
Nor does that excuse Israel for what it has done. It is now very clearly a pariah state, a mad dog that threatens the stability and safety of the entire world. Israel does not care what happens to everyone else – all that matters is that it maintains total regional supremacy, but it uses other people to make that happen. This is not sustainable, sensible, wise, or safe, and the other Great Powers have every right to exercise whatever means are necessary to stop Israel from destroying humanity.
I repeat: the other Great Powers have every right to exercise WHATEVER MEANS ARE NECESSARY, to stop Israel from destroying humanity. Read into that what you will – it is simply a fact.
With that off my chest, let us move onto the lovely lady of the week, to take our minds off the madness.
