Well that weekend zipped by far too quickly – though it certainly was an enjoyable one, at least for me. I was able to see a great band play live on Friday night, and as a consequence, quite happily lost most of my vocal range the next day. The older I get, though, the less quickly I am able to recover from standing up and jumping around for 5 hours. Metal gigs really are a young man’s game…
Regardless, it is Monday, and that means we all have to suffer through the misery of work and other such horrors. So let us wash the stain away with the Great Mondaydact Browser Bleacher.
This week, we get off to a riotous and extremely politically incorrect start, with one of the best comedy shows ever to emerge out of PommieBastardLande:

Linkage is good for you:
- Fyodor Lukyanov is quite pleased to see the attempts, however cack-handed, by the Drumpf Administration, to normalise relations with Russia;
- Vitalyi Ryumshin unpacks the consequences of the ouster of the โgrey cardinalโ of 404 โ Country Not Found;
- Dmitryi Orlov explains why Indians love themselves some Russian S-400 โTriumphโ systems, and with damned good reason;
- Larry Johnson analyses the very long meeting between the Neo-Tsar and Drumpfโs emissaries, which shows signs of promising outcomes;
- Rachel Marsden explores the link between Epstein and Israel, that the small-hats REALLY do not want to discuss;
- Ladislav Zemanek examines how the new GIRRRRRRL POWAH!!! PM of Japan is pushing her country into yet another war with China;
- And speaking of the ChiComs, they just made a BIG step toward building affordable reusable rockets for space launches;
- Hua Bin is not amused by the constant drumbeat of nonsense about how China is โuninvestableโ, and sets the record straight;
- China has planted so many trees that it has actually changed its own climate โ and not in the tree-hugger way, but in one that works to its benefit;
- Amazingly, Floriduh still thinks the public school system is worth saving, which goes a long way to explaining a few things about the state;
- The Abominable Intelligence arms race is driving up RAM prices along with GPU costs worldwide, which is bad news for anyone looking to buy a new PC;
- The notion that AI โhallucinatesโ is not technically correct, and there might be a better phrase we can use;
- The most expensive military jets in history are entirely American, and coincidentally, also the least effective in serious air-to-air combat against near-peer adversaries;
- The dogs of Chernobyl have adapted rapidly under the effects of the high background radiation in their environment, in unexpected and strange ways;
- The Euzis have FINALLY backed down from their monumentally stupid ban on internal combustion engines by 2035, but just wait, theyโll come up with something dumber soon;
And some more from Dawn Pine:
- A Euzi electronics retailer made a gigantic mistake with its iPad pricing, and now wants the lot back โ good luck with that;
- The YURPEENS keep stacking up the Ls, too โ Airbus has had to issue an emergency software patch to some 6,000 of its A320 planes;
- A Japanese wunderkind won a lot of money for coming up with an incredibly resilient origami construct;
- And in your I, Robot news of the week โ there are now robots that can build an entire home in a day;
- Some mad geniuses built a gigantic database of mediaeval soldiers, and found some fascinating things in the process;
- Things in New York F***ing Shitty keep getting worse by the day โ seriously, if you live there, get the hell out;
- A teenager won the Darwin Award this year by getting mauled to death by a lion, after he voluntarily entered its enclosure;
- Proving the old adage that one manโs garbage is another manโs treasure, there are quite a few species that call the Great Pacific Garbage Patch their home now;
- Robots are making a lot of things obsolete, including, possibly, basketball players;
- That being said, I think drivers are still safe for now โ AI cars still cannot figure out the basics of road rules;
- We all love a good trash panda story, and this one, about a raccoon getting drunk and passing out in a liquor store toilet, is as good as it gets;
- Troy Miller points out the uncomfortable reality that persecution of Christians is on the rise globally, but the whore-media is not interested in talking about it;
- To precisely no oneโs surprise, the more educated a woman is, the less likely she is to be in a happy and satisfying romantic relationship;
- Your Floriduh Man story of the week is worth it, trust me on this;
- Believe it or not, some deserts used to be seas, and some of those deserts contain shipwrecks, and some of those shipwrecks contain A LOT of old treasure;
- The Indian government wants to force everyone to download a state-owned, unremovable app, but of course, being Pajeets, there are ways around this nonsense;
