“We are Forerunners. Guardians of all that exists. The roots of the Galaxy have grown deep under our careful tending. Where there is life, the wisdom of our countless generations has saturated the soil. Our strength is a luminous sun, towards which all intelligence blossoms… And the impervious shelter, beneath which it has prospered.”

Friday T&A: Uncivil War Edition

I go away for a couple of weeks, and look what happens… The world goes straight to Hell. To be fair, though, the Western world, at least, had chosen that course long before I started planning my vacation to Mordor (which was, in general, quite good fun, though not without its difficulties – more to follow on that at a later date).

But then… late on Wednesday night, things took a dramatic and terribly dark turn.

There is more to say about the Charlie Kirk assassination than I have time or inclination for here. For the moment, my view is that the FUSA has crossed a very real red line. And there is no going back from this one.

Political violence by the “Blue” – it is no longer really the Left, not anymore, and has not been for quite a while, as the old Left had almost nothing in common with these crazies – is not new. When you consider that their intellectual forbears are the likes of Rousseau, Hegel, Marx, Lenin, and Mao – the latter of whom once memorably said that “all power comes from the point of a gun” – then you begin to understand that these people genuinely believe they have the right and the ability to perfect humanity.

It is not then difficult to understand that, because they believe this, anyone who disagrees with them is, to their minds, an obstacle to their perverted equivalent of a sacred and holy mission, and must therefore be destroyed.

This is the worldview that led to Communism, Fascism, and all the inherent evils of those two demented ideologies.

It is also fundamentally the worldview of what, for lack of a better term, I simply call “the Blue”, now. The old Left-Right divides no longer apply – you will find that an old-school Lefty, like Jimmy Dore, or Alexander Mercouris, has more in common with a Christian Nationalist (like me, and many of my readers), or a paleoconservative like Pat Buchanan, than he does with the progressive whack-jobs of the Daemoncrat Party of today.

There is really nothing in common between the Red and the Blue anymore – not in the FUSA, and not in the rest of the West. Until Charlie Kirk‘s murder, we were able to paper over the cracks – though you do not have to look very far to see that I have been talking about the dangers of this kind of radicalisation and polarisation for going on nearly 10 years now.

America today feels a lot like Spain probably did back in the early 1930s. By 1936, after repeated and escalating political violence from both sides… the situation was irretrievable.

The result was one of the most horrific conflicts in history, up to that point – followed by a far larger, far more barbaric conflict, the worst the world has ever seen.

I fear greatly that this is the outcome we are now looking at in America today.

Anyway, for the time being, that is all I have to say. It is Friday, and since we are in catch-up mode here, that means TWO lovely ladies for the weekend.

First up, Luana Castillo, age unknown, origin unknown:

And second, Anna Lednyova (Анна Леднёва), though that might not be her actual name, age 32 (supposedly), from Kaliningrad, the westernmost part of Mordor. A major Thot Quotient warning applies with this one, apparently she has, shall we say, a bit of a past, though you cannot believe everything you read on TEH INNARWEBZ. (I know – shocking, right?)
