Today is Pi Day, and that will mean precisely NOTHING to the 99.14159265897% of you who are not, for some strange reason, tickled by numerological nitwittery, the way maths majors (like me) are. Of course, I can hardly blame you for this. Irrational constants like π or e are only of interest to people who have a screw or three loose.

Which, if you think about it, is a rather good summation of the characteristics of your average mathematician.

That being said – happy Pi Day. Have some pie to celebrate.
