The extraordinarily effective spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova (Мария Захарова), sat down for a fascinating interview recently, in which she pointed out some very powerful truths about what Russia is nowadays:
Ms Zakharova is an excellent representative of her country – she personifies many of the things that people like me admire about it. She is a statuesque, regal, and exceptionally intelligent defender of her country, people, and culture. And she is absolutely right to call Russia an “ark”.
I consider myself extraordinarily blessed to have had the opportunity to live in both the US and Russia. Very few people can claim to have lived in both cultures. My last visit, in December 2023, showed me that Russia is forging a future for her own people, that will make her independent of Europe and the West.
And yet… the Russians have no hostility toward the greatest and most positive aspects of Western culture. None whatsoever.
If you walk around the city centre, and visit the Bolshoi Theatre, for instance, or any of the other theatres and concert halls in the centre, you will find advertisements for performances of Bach, Beethoven, and Mozart. You will find showings of Madame Butterfly and Tosca – the highest examples of opera produced at the peak of European civilisation.
Walk around the centre, and you will see French restaurants, American-style coffee shops, German-style bierhauses, Italian pizzerias, and imported foods from the Scandinavian nations.
What you WILL NOT find, though, is any trace of LGBTQWTFISTHISSHIT nonsense. You will find no sympathy for the degenerate and broken “modren” culture of the West – no love for the ugliness and brutality of current Western academia.
And, keep in mind, this is in Moscow, the largest and most metropolitan of the Russian cities.
I have not been to St. Petersburg, the second-largest, and by far the most European, of Russian cities, in more than 5 years. I hope to go back someday soon. My Russian contacts tell me that SPb is booming, and flourishing, as the home and hub of the Russian arts scene – which it always was. But, one thing you will not see while you are in SPb, is any hint of the kind of contamination and ugliness that comes with Western feminised, sexualised, rootless, and deracinated culture.
In other words – the Russians are taking what is best of the West, the art, the food, the classical and contemporary music, the literature, and they are leaving what is evil.
This is very much to the good. In Russia, you will find a country that has finally broken free of its inferiority complex, which its people felt for thirty years after the fall of the USSR. The economic and political collapse that followed, resulted in Russians believing the West was best – and, for a long while, they thought correctly. Russia did not seem to have the opportunities that the West had.
Today, the situation is COMPLETELY different. Russia is growing rapidly – it never lost its industrial base, unlike the West, and has never forgotten its culture and roots. It never abandoned the Orthodox Christian faith, even during the darkest times of the USSR and its absurd “dialectical materialism”.
But Europe and the FUSA are regressing rapidly, precisely because they abandoned their roots, their culture, and their faith. This is why the West is collapsing – because it dishonoured God, and turned its collective back on Him. And now, God has turned His back on us – which we thoroughly deserve.
Do not mistake me here. I do not overlook the flaws and problems with Russian society. They have serious social problems, some of which could potentially destroy their country if they do not get on top of them. The growth of Izzlam is one of them – even though Russian Muslims are among the most liberal and sane around, they are still worshipping a death-cult that will condemn them to Hell. And they have major demographic problems that they have always struggled to address.
That is before we get to the social problems afflicting their women, many of whom – particularly in the largest western cities – exhibit the same characteristics of narcissism and hypergamy that plague their sisters in the West. Russian girls are formidable to date and marry – they have ferocious tempers and tend to be highly materialistic.
The best of them are also loyal, loving, caring, beautiful, and highly feminine. You have to take the good with the bad, really.
All of this is to say – the future no longer belongs to the West, which has given up on itself. The future may not belong to Russia, which in terms of population is still too small to make a difference against the billions of Chinese, Indians, and Africans – but the Russians will exert substantial influence over world events over the coming decades.
And when – not if – the West collapses in on itself, it is the Russians who will one day send back the seeds that preserved the best of Western culture, because Russians have long memories, and they have never forgotten what happened when their cultural Bolsheviks tried to reset their society to Year 0.
That being said… keep in mind, Russia is a VERY different place from anywhere you have ever been before. I assure you, if you visit it for the first time, NOTHING will prepare you for the culture shock.
Things like this are actually pretty normal:
Just keep that in mind, is all I’m saying.
