“We are Forerunners. Guardians of all that exists. The roots of the Galaxy have grown deep under our careful tending. Where there is life, the wisdom of our countless generations has saturated the soil. Our strength is a luminous sun, towards which all intelligence blossoms… And the impervious shelter, beneath which it has prospered.”

Friday T&A: Heavy Meddle Edition

This would have gone up sooner, if it were not for the fact that: a) I’m lazy, and b) for some strange reason, the idiots behind JetPack “upgraded” (read: BROKE) their plugin for WordPress, thereby resulting in images not rendering properly. If you are under the impression that NOTHING BLOODY WORKS ANYMORE, I assure you that you are not alone. The influence of Pajeet Code seems to be everywhere these days, and everything seems to fail right when you actually need it.

None of that changes the fact that the week has been a hot and busy one, especially if you have been keeping track of the Banderastan War. The much-vaunted Leopard 2 tanks have made their way onto the Ukrainian steppe-lands – and have been thoroughly smashed by Russian ORKtillery, as I have pointed out in some detail. There is some evidence to suggest the German tanks are not actually quite as good as they are puffed up to be:

Since I know next to nothing on the subject of tank armour, I beg ignorance here and will refrain from drawing any conclusions. All I will say is that, objectively speaking, the Leopards have made all the difference of a bucket’s worth of spit in the Banderastan War.

And this is not surprising. The tiresome insistence of the Western powers on meddling in the course of a war that has absolutely nothing to do with them, is resulting in vast amounts of scrap metal making its way to the steppes. Seriously, the Russians really should just apply for the title of “World’s Greatest Recycler” at this point, given how successfully they have converted vast quantities of Western munitions into junk.

None of this will make any difference to the long-term outcome of the war, as I have also said repeatedly. The Russian econoy is returning to growth, it is handily outproducing the entire Western MMICC all on its lonesome, and eventually, the Novorossiyan regions that Russia has now incorporated into itself, will rapidly develop and grow in the same way that Crimea did after reintegration.

The Neo-Tsar himself, Vladimir Putin, gave an excellent speech at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (Петербургский Международный Экономический Форум, in Russian, or ПМЭФ), in which he pointed out that Russia’s economy is doing far better than anyone expected, and that the behaviour of the Western hegemon is rapidly driving away capital and investment from West to East. He is entirely correct. The USSA and EUSSR are in terminal decline, and they no longer have the power or will to arrest that slide.

Western economic and military power are inseparable – this is true of any empire – and the decline of Western economies is undeniable at this point. All you have to do is wander the streets of any large European or American city. You will see garbage in the streets, homeless encampments, vast hordes of Dindus and Dirt Worlders, lawlessness, dyscivic disorder, drug addiction, decay, and misery. You will see lots of “For Lease” signs all over the high streets of British cities, with businesses shutting down and pubs closing due to sky-high energy prices.

If you visit Russia, by contrast, you will find they literally don’t know what to do with all of the investment flooding into the country. They are building new apartments, metro lines, train stations, and God only knows what else, at record speeds. Homelessness does exist in Russia, but not nearly to the same degree that it does in the West. The streets of the major cities are amazingly clean, especially considering their population densities.

The contrast could not be more stark. The West is a dying and collapsing culture – the East is growing in confidence and strength. It is not difficult to see where Western meddling has led it – to very, very bad places.

None of this should come as any surprise to the historically aware. Nothing about this situation is new or unique. It has happened before. It will happen again. Someday, Russia’s turn to be a decadent and evil power will come, and future generations will write about how Russia had an opportunity to be great, but wasted it.

The key difference here is that Russia already went through its imperial overreach stage, and has learned some extremely harsh lessons from it. The West, by contrast, has not known true deprivation and destruction since, probably, the 14th Century.

But it is coming, fast. And the West has nothing and no one to blame but itself.

And that is about enough of that for a while. Let’s get to the actual reason you are here.

This week’s winner is Moraya Beckett, age 21 from the USSA. I have no clue what she does – I mean, beyond the obvious, of course – but she does summer very well indeed. Unfortunately, it is pretty obvious that she uses some serious AI retouching on quite a lot of her photos, but hey, it’s getting harder to tell what is real and what is not nowadays.

Yoot truly is wasted on the young, I swear…

And with that Grumpy Old Man moment – happy weekend, all.

I’d say her pics are a case of the real approaching the artificial. They are into the uncanny valley. Except for a few tiny details, they look like something that could be reproduced with something like DAZ Studio 3D without any actual human subject just 3D models and backgrounds.

The eyes are totally creepy, and the skin filtered so much to remove even the slightest irregularities makes me think of a plastic doll.

If her gig is to get money from guys obsessed with sexdolls or virtual pron then I think she is on the right track. But as for normal human interactions she will fail at life.

I agree with Spencer Hart, that chick looks AI-generated.
