Americans have a great many splendid qualities, as I have said many times. I regard my time in the US as a great gift, and am very grateful for the fact that the American people basically left me alone to pursue my own ends in comfort and security. America is – or rather, WAS – a great country.

But, Americans are also a rather parochial and provincial people, especially once you get outside the big cities. I hasten to add, this is not exactly a Bad Thing, at all, given how smug , condescending, and irritatingly superior are the mannerisms of people who live in those overcrowded hellholes that are modern American cities. The majority of Americans remain thoroughly uninterested in what happens beyond the borders of their own state – and, in many cases, what happens beyond the borders of their own county.

It is precisely because of this provincial attitude, though, that Americans simply do not understand how their government has destroyed their image around the world.

Th Turkish Interior Minister, Suleyman Soylu, recently summed up how the rest of the world feels about America in a rather pithy and pungent statement. His comments have been all over the world’s media – though, rather curiously, very few Western whorenalists seem to be in the least bit interested in touching upon them:

Suleyman Soylu, an outspoken critic of the United States who charges Washington with the 2016 military coup attempt and plots to portray Turkey as an unstable state, made the remarks during a meeting with the youth in Istanbul.

According to him, America continues to lose confidence across the globe due to reckless foreign policy.

The minister said Europe is only an American pawn in Africa. All African countries, according to Soylu, hate states that exploit them.

The Turkish minister also suggested that Europe’s actions and policies are primarily driven by Washington’s interests rather than its own.

Soylu downplayed Europe’s significance, asserting that it is a trend in America’s column. “There is America. Europe is a train in America’s column. There is nothing special about him.”

“The remarks” thus referenced in that article – from a publication in Iran, no less, which is not exactly a country friendly toward Turkiye – essentially amounted to: “the whole world hates America“.

Looking around at the way things have gone, it is difficult to disagree.

American whore-media insists that world opinion has isolated Russia and the Russian people. Take a look at Sergei Lavrov at the recent meeting of the UN Security Council in New York – Russia currently chairs the UNSC. Does he look isolated to you?

In fact, all you have to do look at a couple of maps to figure out who is isolating whom.

Taken together, these nations all account for well over half the world’s population and economic output.

Many of these nations have serious quarrels with each other. Yet, they manage to cooperate at an international level WITHOUT the intervention of the USSA – indeed, they actively reject that involvement and want nothing to do with American power.

Armenia and Azerbaijan, for example, are both SCO members – and both have fought a serious war against each other over a strip of land known as Nagorno-Karabakh, or Artsakh, which Azerbaijan has been winning decisively, thanks to its Turkish backing. Russia’s sentiments lie perhaps more with Armenia, but its economic interests lie with Turkiye and Azerbaijan, so it has tried very hard to act as a neutral mediator in the conflict, without, it must be said, a whole lot of success.

China and India have very long-running border disputes going back some 60 years. Periodically, tensions flare up along the line of contact in the Himalayas, and good men die on both sides.

India and Pakistan have serious problems with each other. Pakistan has been used from time to time as an American proxy state, but India has resolutely maintained a neutral stance, while maintaining excellent relations with Russia.

When you factor in the reality that China, not America, brokered peace between Iran and Saudi Arabia, and that Egypt and Turkiye have now restored diplomatic ties, and that Syria is being welcomed back into the Arab League…

All of this adds up to a world that no longer trusts, wants, or respects American power and intervention.

Americans need to wake up and realise this. It bodes extremely ill for their future.

The dislike of the “ugly American” has always been a thing – American tourists are loud, obnoxious, brash, flashy, and trashy, and all of that has been a fact of life in European and Asian tourist hotspots for decades. Having been around rather more than my fair share of fat, loud, irritating Americans who lack both basic discipline and volume control, I understand exactly where it comes from.

But this rejection of America, and Americanism, goes far beyond a mere dislike of the American tourist. Countries around the world are actively turning away from American values, American mass media, American culture – and, most importantly, the America currency.

Countries are now routinely bypassing the USD to settle trade in RMB, INR, RUB, and other currencies. The old Bretton Woods system of pegging global currencies against the dollar, which was then pegged against gold, disappeared in 1971, but since then, most countries actively managed their currencies against the dollar as the de facto global standard. The dollar maintained the world’s largest share of settlements for trade, by far, for decades.

And yet, today, Iran is looking to settle trade with China in yuan. So is Argentina – which has a hyperinflationary economy and desperately needs to stem its outflow of dollars. Russia’s use of the RMB has already eclipsed the USD. India is looking to settle trade with Russia in INR and RUB, and India and Malaysia will now settle their trade in INR.

All of this spells serious trouble – though not outright doom, not yet – for the dollar. With it comes serious bad news for the American standard of living, so long taken for granted. Americans have lived FAR beyond their means, for decades, on the comfortable assumption that the world will always need dollars to facilitate global trade.

That is no longer the case. The world is looking for ways to get away from the toxic and dangerous American political system, and is seeking out alternatives that will no longer rely on American networks and technologies – which means America cannot control that trade or influence it.

This is a classic drift away from hegemony and toward multipolarity. It is as inevitable for the world as it is dangerous for America. And the sad part is, America made this happen.

If America had been the kind of benevolent hegemon that so many of its people still delude themselves into thinking it is, then much of this would not have taken place. If American political and economic elites had acted in good faith, as a neutral intermediary that observed strict rules of non-interference in the affairs of other nations, and merely facilitated trade and dialogue, then the world would likely be a much, MUCH better and more stable place.

Instead, American political elites used military power and cultural influence to destabilise country after country, killing hundreds of thousands and rendering homeless millions of others. They toppled “dictatorships” and “authoritarian regimes” in the name of “freedom and democracy” and their ridiculous “rules-based international order”. America has brought with it bloodshed, suffering, and terror on a MASSIVE scale.

Nothing shows this better than America’s fight against ISIS. Supposedly, the (nominally Christian) USSA hates Izzlamist terrorism. Yet, here we see a situation in which the American military backs one set of Izzlamist nutbags, and the CIA backs another, and it all ends up in one giant snarled-up ball of stupid as a complete fustercluck. Meanwhile, the Syrian government actually protects the Christians in the region, with Russian backing.

This is what happens when a hegemon becomes blind drunk with power and money, and embarks on endless quests to slay ever more ephemeral monsters around the world. It earns the utter hatred of the rest of the world, and deserves it.
