“We are Forerunners. Guardians of all that exists. The roots of the Galaxy have grown deep under our careful tending. Where there is life, the wisdom of our countless generations has saturated the soil. Our strength is a luminous sun, towards which all intelligence blossoms… And the impervious shelter, beneath which it has prospered.”

The #BasedTuckering

Everyone knows by now about how Fox News fired #BasedTucker, because reasons. Precisely what those reasons are, is still a bit murky, because no one at Fox is letting on, but it is not difficult to draw some basic conclusions using open-source data and a modicum of common sense.

Essentially, #BasedTucker said Things Management Didn’t Like, about the Banderastan War, the not-vaxxes, Pfizer, and other topics that you are not allowed to discuss. None of that is new. What is surprising, of course, is that the Murdochs thought they could effectively get rid of Tucker without serious repercussions.

Ratings in that primetime slot have absolutely tanked – though, again, this was to be expected. Fox has now assigned a young Black guy named Lawrence Jones to take over Tucker’s hour – which automatically means that roughly half of Tucker’s audience will simply walk away and not bother. Let’s be honest about this – it is not racist to point out the fact that a young Black conservative is not going to draw the viewers that Tucker did, because he does not look, act, or sound like the viewership that watches #BasedTucker.

Moreover, #BasedTucker then posted a video on his Twatter feed, which absolutely skyrocketed in terms of views and impressions:

That tweet has, at this time of writing, been viewed over 78M times – though I don’t know how many actual views of the video that translates into, there is some jiggery-pokery in the algorithm involved which I do not pretend to understand.

Considering that #BasedTucker used to draw in some 3.5-4M viewers every night, according to Nielsen data, one might be tempted to think that Fox really screwed the pooch (so to speak) by doing this.

Well… nazzofast, Guido. There might be machinations going on behind the scenes which we do not fully understand. PJW breaks some of it down for us:

I’d say that makes a lot of sense. From what I can tell, #BasedTucker is technically still on contract as an employee of FAUX – they are essentially trying to keep him quiet through to the end of that contract.

If #BasedTucker has any sense whatsoever – and I think he does – then he can and absolutely should make this as expensive and painful a legal battle as possible for FAUX. They deserve it.

Now, #BasedTucker is not always right, and I do not agree with #BasedTucker about everything – he is notably aggressive toward China and the Communist Party of China itself, for reasons that do not make a whole lot of sense.

I personally intensely dislike the CPC’s ways of governing its people, and I would never, ever want to live in China myself – not least because they are a low-trust bunch, and are by far the biggest racists you’ve ever seen – but I will be the first to point out that the CPC is a far more legitimate and popularly supported government than any Western equivalent.

Furthermore, the CPC is notably less expansionist and aggressive than the USSA is. The CPC has no desire to become a globe-spanning military hegemon – they learned their lessons about the perils of empire a long time ago, and appear to have no interest in repeating idiotic Anglo-American mistakes.

The CPC are a rapacious bunch, make no mistake. They will happily screw over people if they feel it is in their interests – but, they tend to take a much longer view than Westerners do, and understand that their interests are better served through commerce and trade deals than through military-backed land and resource grabs.

That being said, #BasedTucker is right about most (though not all) things, and he was pretty much the only sane voice left on the “mainstream” channels.

Will his departure mean the end of FAUX?

No.

It is crucial to understand this one fact about giant corporations – hell, this applies to small ones too:

NO ONE MAN IS BIGGER THAN THE BRAND.

People really need to understand this basic fact. No one is indispensable – NO ONE. I had to learn this lesson at immense personal cost. If you think you cannot be disposed of, I assure you that you are DEAD WRONG, and you will find out one day just how wrong you were.

The FAUX brand was bigger than Bill O’Reilly, when he left – and Tucker Carlson ended up taking his slot, but without quite achieving his predecessor’s tremendous ratings. The FAUX brand survived Glenn Beck‘s departure, and will survive Tucker’s departure too.

That being said… the writing is on the wall for FAUX and the entire MSM complex. These people are inveterate liars of the absolute worst kind, and more and more people see that now.

These days, you can go to TEH YOOTOOBZ and get any number of actual opinion videos that tell you what is really going on, with their own particular spin on things. The creators of those videos do not have to make any pretence at trying to hide their own agendas or views on a particular subject – they get views precisely BECAUSE they have a point of view.

And those channels and creators get MORE views, per video, than CNN, MSNBC, and in some cases even FAUX. They have MORE subscribers even than many of the primetime audiences for the whorenalist shows on the MSM.

They also manage to produce high-quality news and views at a MUCH lower cost, in terms of overheads, salaries, and staffs, than the MSM can. Which means that, over time, they will win, and they will DESTROY these whore-media conglomerates.

If I were a shareholder of DIS, FOX, or ViacomCBS (or whatever the hell they are called these days), I would be very, very worried. Those companies are doomed to obsolescence. They will disappear, because they continue to lie to their audiences every single day.

Meanwhile, people like #BasedTucker, who are flawed and fallible but nonetheless funny, kind, compassionate, decent, and, above all, truth-seeking, will thrive.

It is a good time to be alive. We should revel in the fight – because it means we are doing something really right. #BasedTucker is going to be fine – he will be back, and almost certainly bigger than ever, and the rest of us will be right there waiting for him to continue CRUSHING, whatever it is he plans to do next.
