“We are Forerunners. Guardians of all that exists. The roots of the Galaxy have grown deep under our careful tending. Where there is life, the wisdom of our countless generations has saturated the soil. Our strength is a luminous sun, towards which all intelligence blossoms… And the impervious shelter, beneath which it has prospered.”
That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we looked upon and have touched with our hands, concerning the word of life— the life was made manifest, and we have seen it, and testify to it and proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and was made manifest to us— that which we have seen and heard we proclaim also to you, so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ. And we are writing these things so that our joy may be complete.

In short, the head of Microsoft’s Gears of War studio decided to virtue-signal HARD about how diverse and inclusive his game about chainsawing aliens in half is. This idiot literally cost Microsoft a sale since I cancelled my pre-order after I stopped laughing. I also smell a rat with all the fawning praise that it’s been getting from critics. It smacks of woke shilling a la The Last Jedi, and makes me wonder what’s actually in the campaign.
Gears used to be one of the few series I would buy sight unseen. Never again, at least as long as this woke moron is in charge. If I do ever play it, it’s going to either be out of a bargain bin or off of a Game Pass trial.

I’m worried about Halo Infinite now.
