“We are Forerunners. Guardians of all that exists. The roots of the Galaxy have grown deep under our careful tending. Where there is life, the wisdom of our countless generations has saturated the soil. Our strength is a luminous sun, towards which all intelligence blossoms… And the impervious shelter, beneath which it has prospered.”

Friday T&A: Face Punch Edition

by | Apr 5, 2019 | fat girl jihad, Uncategorized | 0 comments

It’s Friday again, and I for one am very happy that it is so. Not so much because it denotes the start of the weekend, but more because it marks the last full day of my time here in Arabistan, before I fly back and resume my usual routines – such as they are.

I will be very honest: this trip has been absolutely exhausting physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually, for a variety of reasons. Some of them have to do with the difficulties of working remotely with a company 4 time zones ahead with significant gaps in communication. Others have to do with the fact that this is a land that openly rejects and flouts the Word, and favours an apostate creed that blasphemes all that is holy and venerates all that is sinful. And others still have to do with personal stuff that has come to a head of late.

Yet again, I am reminded that each and every one of us is being tested, hard, and that these tests are extremely unpleasant when they are happening – but that they make us stronger and tougher in the end.

And speaking of things that make us stronger and tougher, there are few paths that achieve this faster and better than martial arts, of course. With that in mind, this week’s entry into everyone’s favourite series features an MMA ring girl who goes by the name of Mercedes Terrell.

She works for Bellator MMA as a ring girl, she has a quite lovely smile, and she looks great in both her work costume and more casual (read: skimpy) outfits. And, if you bother to read any of the captions to her Instagram posts, she clearly understands that people like her for her looks. The honesty is quite refreshing, it must be said.

Happy Friday, boys. I’m very much looking forward to getting away from here, away from drama and excess and madness, and of course I am quite looking forward to being able to have a drink again. (One of the many reasons why I think Islam is simply nuts is the fact that they insist on denying themselves the simple pleasures of the fruit of the vine and the delights of single-malt Scotch – or at least, those things are forbidden to the ordinary people. It’s a different story for those with money and power, of course.)

Enjoy the weekend, rest up whenever you can, and prepare for the trials and challenges ahead. Everything that I am seeing tells me that things will get worse, not better, for some time to come. But do not be afraid, and do not lose hope, for we Christians are not given a spirit of fear or timidity, but one of great joy and eternal hope.
