I got a comment from “kelley brannon” yesterday on my post criticising Cassie Jaye’s much-ballyhooed documentary, The Red Pill, and it is just too funny not to share and comb through carefully. You will see on display the full range of feminist NPC directives and rhetoric, which is always both enjoyable and instructive (for those of a certain somewhat sadistic cast of mind, admittedly).

I’m going to assume for the time being – unless proven wrong – that this is a genuine comment, not some troll posting a drive-by for teh lulz. If the latter – well played, whoever you are.

Judging by the tone and content, though, I doubt this is a troll-play. You’ll soon see why. Settle in with some popcorn and a beer, boys, this one’s gonna be good.

I just watched her Ted Talk and I am horrified.

Around the 4 minute mark, her example about men constructing buildings and the “feminist response of women giving birth to all humans” is NEITHER feminist nor accurate: men don’t give birth, only women do.

Did you just assume the gender of birth-givers everywhere?!? I am appalled at your insensitivity, intolerance, and outright bigotry!!! Surely you must realise that if a man wants to give birth and chest-feed, he absolutely bloody well can do so!!!!!

I know it’s off-topic, but the only good thing about the insanity of transgender ideology is that it completely puts to the sword the feminist lie that “gender is just a social construct”. If that were true, then one could not possibly be “born the wrong gender”. I love watching feminists tie themselves in knots trying to handle mentally ill tranny freaks.

Men only construct buildings because women are seen as only good for giving birth, i.e. how many female architects do you know?

I happen to know a few, actually. Right now, I am living in an Asian country where the gender imbalance is enormous – there are roughly 60-100 million more men than women in this country. And yet, the architects and interior decorators who designed our house here are – wait for it – female. As are many of the architects and interior designers who live in this city, as a general rule.

(The fact that the ones who worked for us did a really shitty job in certain areas and were constantly over time and budget is not entirely their fault. Turns out, the work ethic in this part of the world is abysmal to begin with.)

A simple Google – or in my case, DuckDuckGo – search will reveal more female architect names than you can shake a stick at. And here is the Infogalactic listicle showing notable female architects by nationality. I lost count after 100.

Also – there is rather more to constructing buildings than merely architecture. You need to have people operating the machinery, carrying the heavy stuff, and doing the hazardous and difficult work of wiring and soldering and welding in dangerous places. Those “people” tend to be mostly – guess what? – men.

Why? Because men have a strongly exhibited preference for more dangerous and hazardous work than women do. Unlike Mx. Brannon there, I’m not talking out of my ass about gender preferences, since they are real and quite well documented.

It’s a challenging field for anyone but more so for women.

Because women don’t like studying maths – despite being better at it in high school than boys throughout much of the Western world. That is not the fault of men. Wait until you get to computer programming or advanced mathematics, engineering, and physics, dearie.

Cassie Jaye is no feminist – she is comparing a woman’s body to a man’s mind.

Let’s see what exactly it was that Ms. Jaye really said in the TEDx talk that caused this eruption of bilious nonsense, and judge for ourselves:

She said that she heard one of her interviewees say, “Go outside and take a look around – everything that you see was built by a man”, and she then compared it to the fact that everyone you see was birthed by a woman. She concluded that, if she simply looked at the statement logically instead of hearing what she wanted to hear, then there was no sexism or hatred of women involved at all – the statement simply pointed out and celebrated the different and valuable contributions made by each gender.

She did not compare a woman’s body to a man’s mind. She compared the achievements of men and women and found that one is not necessarily better than the other – both genders are critical to the functioning of a stable and healthy society.

This should not be surprising to anyone – except a radical feminist.

That’s exactly what sexism is (and what is at the heart of the men’s rights movement). Looks like she got brainwashed.

My dear Mx. Brannon, you don’t have the first clue what the men’s rights movement actually is, at all. It is a movement dedicated to giving men fair and equal treatment – which is something that you feminists claim to want, but never actually work towards in any way, shape, or form.

Men make up 90% or more of workplace fatalities and accidents. Men account for roughly three quarters of all suicides and suicidal impulses. Men get 63% longer prison sentences for the same crimes than women do in Federal courts, on average. Men get primary custody of our children only 15% of the time in family court, while joint physical custody only happens about 25% of the time – but mothers get sole or primary custody 60% of the time.

Men stand a roughly 60% chance of being accused of child abuse by their former wives in family court custody battles. Only about 4% of alimony recipients are male.

Women contribute far less in taxes than men do – 60% less, maybe worse than that even, depending on the country – yet are given massive incentives and advantages at every level of society, from the education system to affirmative action policies to government diktats, over men. Meanwhile they consume vastly more in resources than they create or contribute.

The hard reality is that women live the good life in the West because their men are legally enslaved to them. They just don’t have the grace and decency to admit it.

If “sexism” is at the heart of the MRA movement, then they are some of the most incompetent sexists that I have ever seen. Feminists, on the other hand, are such colossal hypocrites that you wonder how it is that most of them don’t go around flipping a coin like Two-Face.

The SPLC does not have any real clue what is, and is not, a true “hate group”. If it did, large parts of the Democrat Party would be labelled a “hate group”, given the well-known history of racism, lynching, and discrimination against blacks in America committed by – guess who – Democrats.

Now, you can easily find Bureau of Justice Statistics and FBI numbers that say the opposite – that women are much more likely than men to be abused, and that women are far more often the victims of intimate-partner violence. My advice is to make up your own mind based on the numbers.

But let’s drop this pretence that women are somehow exclusively or even mostly the victims of violent crime, and that it is all perpetrated by men. Even Slate, one of the most far-Left NPC rags in the country, admits – in an article written by a (((feminist))) – that men experience rates of sexual violence and assault at rates comparable to those of women.

Every three days a woman dies in this country due to domestic violence. The same is not true for men.

Right, let us assume for the sake of argument that “this country” means “the USA”. And let’s do a little bit of research about this factoid, which I have seen popping up a few times over the last few years.

As NPC News (see what I did there?) itself reports:

According to the Violence Policy Center, which uses Bureau of Justice statistics inannual reports about female homicide victims, nearly three women are murdered every day in the U.S. by current or former romantic partners.

So far, so good for the FemPC – though, being a feminist, she naturally got the direction of the stat completely wrong. But we can forgive her for that – she’s a woman, directions are likely not her strong suit.

Now let’s unpack some stats.

Here is the Bureau of Justice Statistics report on intimate partner violence from 2010 – before the methodology of the National Crime Victimisation Survey (correct spelling, for all you heathen rebels out there) was revised to account for the fact that men experience serious rates of abuse.

In Table 1 on Page 2, it states that in 1998 – for the innumerate feminists, that is 20 years ago – 1,320 women were murdered by an intimate partner. Divide that by 365.25 and that gets you to… let’s see… 3.614 women murdered every day by an intimate partner.

Yep. That’s pretty bad. No arguments there.

How about men, though?

Well, the same table shows that 510 men were killed by an intimate partner. That’s 1.3963 men per day.

Again, note that these statistics are twenty years old. The data have absolutely changed since then – because the BJS itself shows in its Intimate Partner Violence series that “SERIOUS INTIMATE PARTNER VIOLENCE AGAINST FEMALES DECLINED 72% FROM 1994 TO 2011”.

Assuming that this 72% decline holds for murder rates – which seems reasonable, but not entirely sound – then 38% of 3.614 is… 1.37332.

So basically the statistic quoted by our FemPC isn’t merely misleading and backasswards, it’s utter bullshit given crime trends and socioeconomic progress over the past 20 years.

You hear that? It’s the sound of complete and utter OWNAGE.

Also, didn’t she just say how only men could build buildings (I guess because she thinks they are stronger than women yet she’s going to believe that women physically hurt men at the same rate?

Is that what Cassie Jaye actually said?

No.

What she actually said was that a man that she interviewed said that pretty much everything of any consequence was built or designed or created by a man. And then she said that men are abused at comparable rates to men. The first is self-evidently true, and the second is borne out by the numbers.

Did she just refer to circumcision as “genital mutilation?” wtf? (around 9 min mark).

Dictionary definition of genital mutilation:

noun
1. any type of cutting or removal of all or some of the genital organs, especially excision of the clitoris.

So, yes, male circumcision meets the first part of that definition. Male Jewish, Christian, and Muslim infants who go through it, do not have a choice in the matter – they are nowhere near old enough to have agency and their decisions are entirely made for them.

Moreover, if you read the specific descriptions of the Jewish brit milah ceremony, you will quickly realise that the mitzvah – good deed – of the procedure is to inflict pain on the infant, so anaesthesia is not recommended and often not used. And the particular Hasidic Jewish practice of metzitzah, in which the mohel places his mouth directly on the circumcision wound to draw blood away from the cut, is appalling.

In The Red Pill, Cassie Jaye watches a clip of a circumcision gone horribly wrong and weeps as she sees a tiny male infant screaming in helpless agony. It is horrible to watch for any compassionate person. And it happens far too often – far more than is reported.

There are, to be clear, many good health reasons for circumcision. But I firmly believe that boys and men should make those decisions of our own free will when we have reached the age of agency and have fully weighed the benefits against the risks.

Genital mutilation is the forceful and totally unnecessary removal of a girl’s clitoris so she can’t experience sexual pleasure. These are NOT the same things.

Nobody ever said that forceful mutilation of female genitalia for the purpose of denying them sexual pleasure was the same as the removal of the male foreskin for purposes of cleanliness and Godliness. FGM is a horrific practice engaged in mostly by barbaric peoples who have resisted virtually all Godly and Christian efforts to civilise them. Every decent non-Muslim man raised in the West, regardless of political persuasion, thinks that FGM is disgusting in every way.

And, by the way, the people doing most of the hacking and slashing of female clitorises are Muslims. The custom itself actually predates Islam, and there is nothing in traditional Islamic sources that says that it is necessary or required, but the practice is common among Muslims, for reasons too stupid to get into here.

Where is your feminist outrageously outrageous OUTRAGE about the appalling treatment of women in Islamic countries, FemPC?

This is, I think, the third time in five years that I have had to deconstruct a feminist’s “arguments” on this blog. It is not quite as much fun as you might think. In my experience, feminists show a remarkable lack of imagination, an almost violent allergy to facts and evidence, and a near-total inability to argue coherently.

It is very obvious from this long comment left by a feminist NPC that Leftoids are utterly unable to think for themselves, meme, or do anything useful with their lives other than scream in rage and hate at something that someone else said.

It’s sad, really. FemPC #13,701,485 might actually have been an interesting person, until she took an arrow to the knee…

The FemPC’s response to Cathy Jaye’s measured, reasonable, and careful attempts to open dialogues with those that she used to fundamentally disagree with is typical of the Left. Any disagreement or deviation with the official party line is to be suppressed and squelched instantly, for it is BADTHINK! and cannot be tolerated.

Feminists are a particularly stupid and grating example of the Leftoid NPC. Most of them believe, unquestioningly, that feminism is about equality. It never was.
