Various commentators on the Right have been having a rather good time pointing out the hypocrisy of the Left with respect to the recent summit between the God-Emperor and the Dragon Energy Man. Of the many various takes that I have seen on that meeting thus far, perhaps Laura Ingraham’s is (not surprisingly) among the best:
Now let’s get one thing straight about Kanye West:
I think he is an arrogant blowhard with a lot of bottle and a hugely overfed ego. And since I absolutely cannot stand rap, hip-hop, and most forms of R&B, and do not think of them as “music” in any way, shape, or form, I do not subscribe at all to the notion that he is some sort of musical “genius”.
To my mind, music has to have rhythm, melody, harmony, structure, and lyricism – not some DOPE AZZ BEATZZZZ accompanied by some twerp mouthing off about bitches, hos, drugs, guns, and money.
That, of course, is why I listen to real music – and not just metal either, you will find that I am highly partial to anything ranging from Baroque classics to modern deep house and trance.
All of that aside, it is important to note that there is one thing which Kanye West does very well indeed – regardless of our opinion of his music.
And that is in exposing the sheer hypocrisy of the Left when it comes to race.
It is, of course, completely pointless and stupid to point out that “Leftists are the REAL racists!!!”. It doesn’t work. That is a purely dialectic attack which makes the user sound weak and pathetic, since it is very poor rhetoric. This line does not attack the real self-image that Leftists have of themselves.
If you are going to attack people who believe that only whites can ever be racist, and that white Leftists are immune from charges of racism as long as they flagellate themselves appropriately, and you use such a silly bit of dialectic on non-white Leftists, of course you will fall flat on your foolish face.
If, however, you present a Leftist with an actual black, Hispanic, gay, woman, or other “oppressed minority” who doesn’t think according to the Party Line, then you will reliably and easily cause him to become completely discombobulated.
That is because his limited brainpower cannot handle the sheer overload caused by the massive cognitive dissonance between what he has been told to believe, and what he actually sees before his eyes.
And therein lies the value of “Ye”, or whatever the hell it is that he insists on calling himself these days.
This was the same man who once proclaimed, about 13 years ago in the wake of a massive hurricane, that “George Bush doesn’t care about black people” on national television. And for that preposterous charge, he was given wall-to-wall news and press coverage – and the Right cowered before it and him, because back then, calling someone from the Right a RAAAAAAACIST!!! was a highly effective attack.
The beauty of the God-Emperor, Donaldus Triumphus Magnus – may his reign be long and blessed!!! – lies in the fact that he just doesn’t give a [deleted] about what anyone thinks of him, outside of a very small circle of family and close friends. So he simply does not care whether people call him a racist, a bigot, a misogynist, or whatever. Like all Alpha males, he simply shrugs off other people’s opinions and gets on with the serious business of being awesome.
Add to that the fact – the proven fact – that his policies are helping black communities in ways that a half-black race-baiting SJW agitator of a predecessor never did, and you have a deadly serious situation for the Left.
Blacks throughout the USA are registering the fact that, on the one hand, the man in the Oval Office is not telling them to be victims but is instead telling them that he supports their right to live and work as they see fit – and on the other hand, is delivering on his promises.
While black people are not as intelligent as whites, on average – and this fact is beyond dispute, it has been proven many times in many ways – they do have a pretty firm grasp on reality. And they can see that their lives are unambiguously improving under a white, rich, privileged billionaire President who just doesn’t take crap from anyone.
To be sure, the majority of blacks will still prefer victimhood to progress. Fifty years of indoctrination is impossible to undo in two.
But the Left’s hammerlock over the culture and on power has depended heavily on ensuring that minorities always vote according to what the Left wants. The moment that blacks and Hispanics realise that they can, in fact, think for themselves if they so choose, the Left loses.
And that is why Kanye West’s meeting with the President terrifies them so much.
The President’s approval rating among blacks is now around 36% – double what it was a year ago, apparently. That does not necessarily translate into poll numbers – but if 14% or so of the electorate is black, and roughly 30% of those now vote Republican instead of Democrat, the Left’s ability to control politics through the culture suddenly becomes much weaker.
I do not agree with Kanye West on most things. I do not much care for the man or his lifestyle. I do not think much of his “music”. And until he had met with the God-Emperor, I did not much care for his politics either. My mind has not changed significantly on any of these subjects, but I will say one thing in his favour: he thinks for himself.
I can, and do, respect that about him.
It is well past time that more of his black brothers and sisters started doing the same. If they actually bothered to think for themselves for a while, they might realise that it is the Democrats who have historically oppressed and devalued them, and it is the Republicans who have historically stood up for their rights.
That isn’t something they typically teach in history class, but that’s a rant for another day.

Yeah. I never much cared for Kanye and still don"t but I respect him for his position. I suspect he thought his way out of the plantation and speaks basic truths about the black situation in the U.S. That's why the entire cultural industries have gone ape shit. If Kanye convinces blacks that they have agency and thus morally responsible, the Dems are finished like the Whigs.
I'm glad that you like Baroque too. I also like jazz because you can hear echos of Baroque. What's piquing my interest now is Renaissance music . Jordi Savall has been a pioneer going through archives and a lot of the music is really amazing to hear. And he uses the original instruments so that really helps to appreciate the music.
I happen to like rap but not in English. It sounds much better in the Roamnce languages. I think it has to do with the legacy of the Latin period (a rythm created by playing around with the word placement) which results in more flexibility with the metre.
I suppose English language raps sucks the same way that Romance language heavy metal lyrics do. Both languages have their strength and weaknesses when it's musicalized. Romance heavy metal lyrics come across as utterly pretencious while English language rap comes across as utterly illiterate.
