Monday morning fusion dance

Well, we all somehow survived another series of Trumper Tantrums – though they were more muted than usual, in part because Ornj Boi swanned off to meet the New Huangdi of the Middle Kingdom. By all accounts, that visit was – to quote Macbeth – a tale of sound and fury, signifying nothing, told by an idiot. We shall just have to wait and see what, if anything, came out of that trip.

It is telling, however, that the Neo-Tsar is off this week to meet the very same Emperor of China, and THAT trip is likely to be very consequential indeed, because Russia and China are rapidly moving toward a true military-political alliance, not “merely” a very close strategic partnership.

Anyway, all of that is for later. Today is, of course, Monday, and that means we all need a good distraction.
