Monday morning Star Warped

It’s Monday again, and today is of course a particular kind of Monday – I will not say it is special, because May the 4th stopped being special many years ago, but according to geek lore, it is, of course, Star Wars Day. Now, anyone who watched the original trilogy, or the “prequel” trilogy, knows full well that the entire legacy of the franchise is a smoking ruin, and there is nothing worth salvaging about it whatsoever. But, for those of us who grew up with those older films, and still remember how great they were (at times), the series still holds a special place in our hearts.

I stopped watching STAR WARS years ago – there was a time when I would watch the entire trilogy, end to end, and then the entire six-film “Skywalker Saga”, on my birthday. I stopped doing that a long time back, and will almost certainly never start it up again, because I just cannot be arsed.

Nonetheless, there WERE great things about the older films, and it IS worth remembering some of them.
