“We are Forerunners. Guardians of all that exists. The roots of the Galaxy have grown deep under our careful tending. Where there is life, the wisdom of our countless generations has saturated the soil. Our strength is a luminous sun, towards which all intelligence blossoms… And the impervious shelter, beneath which it has prospered.”

Monday morning doxology

by | Apr 13, 2026 | Mondays | 1 comment

The weekend sure went by awfully quickly. I should say that it was a special weekend for our Orthodox friends over there in the eastern churches, since they celebrate Easter on a different Sunday than the western ones do. The reason why has to do with the technical details of the difference between the old Julian and current Gregorian calendar.

If you get the Orthobros feeling their oats and talking about it, they will claim that the adoption of the Gregorian calendar was one of the absolute worst mistakes the Greek Church ever made. I would not go quite that far, given that the Julian calendar did, factually speaking, fall out of sync with the seasons and times, and was in dire need of correction.

Nonetheless, all I can say to our Orthodox friends is:

Christ is risen!
ะฅั€ะธัั‚ะพั ะฒะพัะบั€ะตัะต!
ฮงฯฮนฯƒฯ„แฝธฯ‚ แผ€ฮฝฮญฯƒฯ„ฮท!

And actually, while we are on the subject of Orthodoxy, let us get this otherwise miserable Monday off to a theologically interesting start, with an explanation of the history of the Orthodox Church – or, as our Eastern friends would call it, the ONLY true church (and, by the way, I personally think they have a much stronger claim to that title than the western traditions do):

#BasedTucker is Based

Powerful stuff there from #BasedTucker. And it got a MASSIVELY negative reaction from Drumpf.

It is quite instructive to see how quickly and efficiently #BasedTucker shuts down the Zioclown shill whorenalist. You can literally SEE her brain frantically attempting to engage OhShit.exe to shut down the discussion, as he calmly and brutally dismantles her idiocy.

  1. Odnam's Razor

i’m not going to say that the Donatists were correct about everything, but they were certainly correct that a bishop of the church who had publicly rejected Christ no longer meets the New Testament requirements for authority in the “one true” Church.

which, the combined Roman/Orthobro churches of the age ( 4th century or 300s AD ) decided to defend the privileges of the existing clergy no matter how badly they had contravened their responsibilities rather than obey the Scripture. and that is part of the heritage of the Orthobros just as much as it is part of the Romans.

i will also note that pretty much the only thing we “know” about the Donatists, is what is reported to us by the RCC. and there’s PLENTY that we know that the RCC is lying about. within the last couple of years, a Catholic openly stated that Protestants were frothing at the mouth to kill Catholics. how so? didn’t Protestant sects run the US for the first +century, and we never did any such thing?

whatever, reality has little to do with the pronouncements of the RCC, such as the Immaculate Conception ( Mary being born sinless ), which is not believed by hardly any other denominations and certainly not by the denominations which PREDATE the Roman Church, such as the Copts and Oriental churches and many of the Orthodox churches. even the RCC did NOT promulgate the Immaculate Conception ( of Mary ) until the mid-1850s.
