An Israeli artist has provided us all with some highly amusing, and highly exaggerated, insights into what it is like to be married to a good woman, in the form of some quite good cartoons. I ran into these while bumbling around on teh innarwebz a few days ago, and have been amusing myself with his depictions of his marriage ever since.
All I can say is, the dude definitely loves his wife. And she very obviously has a good sense of humour, which as far as I can tell is vital for a couple of stay together and be happy in the long term – especially once kids arrive.
And yes, I’m phoning it in right now. Hey, not every post can be a sparkling gem of philosophical brilliance and observational wisdom about the human condition. Sometimes my brain sticks itself in “Park” and goes for a pub-crawl, for its own good.
Took a look at their Instagram profiles. Can highly relate to a number of his cartoons. My wife and I don’t have kids yet, but I can pretty much imagine it would be similar for us when we get going on having some, God willing. Lots of humor definitely helps wash down any gripes either of us has with the other. It really is the best way. Conflict resolution becomes a minimal issue that way and we can get on with enjoying life together.
One thing that got me thinking, however, was the message in the cartoon you used for your title image. I think that situation has a chance of ending up a problem for them in the future. His “OH SHIT!” expression at her question means it’s too late for him to deal with it easily. He didn’t set things up earlier on so that she never would have even considered opening an account in the first place. I think the social media thing is something that needs to be handled early in the relationship – a tall order nowadays, to be sure. It’s too much of a temptation for women and, once the simps get going, corrosive to the pair bond – similar to, probably even much worse than, porn consumption for married men. The women have the very real possibility to connect with the simps following them, where the men have practically zero chance of ever hooking up with the porn stars or cam girls.

Good points. I checked out Maya DeVir's Instachump account and it's all actually very tame – mostly photos of her and her husband together, along with loads of their cartoons. There is no attention-whoring going on at all, it's quite wholesome.
But, your point remains valid. Instagram gives women immediate access to attention, which they crave. And in the case of the couple in question here, they went and setup an Instagram account for their newborn daughter – a massive mistake, in my personal opinion, not least because apparently it got hacked very soon afterwards.
These days the social media genie is well out of the bottle, and there is no going back. The only way to deal with it is to watch a woman's behaviour. In my case, the last girl that I dated has social media accounts on VK, Facebook, and Insty. She would regularly get massive amounts of orbiter attention because, hey, she's hot. And she would show that stuff to me directly – along with her responses, which were always completely non-committal and largely uninterested. I never worried about her cheating on me in any way because of the transparency and the humour involved.
Chances are that if she has social media and doesn't act on any of the offers that she invariably gets from it, she's a keeper. If she does act on them – ditch her, fast.
