It is hard to believe just how quickly the year has gone by, but here we are, practically at the end of December. This poast finds me somewhere in between Europe and Asia (so to speak), after a delayed flight and a rather odd time getting to my transit hotel for the night, as I wend my way toward what I hope will be a quiet and relaxing winter holiday. Due to my travels, and the time differences involved, I am somewhat less chipper than usual, so I will have to content myself with short-form updates for the time being.
That said, if you are of a mind to do so, it is WELL worth your time to listen to or watch the MFIC’s 4.5hr-long masterclass. The Putin held his annual “Direct Line” event, in which the ordinary Russian people, as well as the Russian and global press, can ask him all sorts of questions. It is quite a thing to behold. For all that Western whorenalists love to go on about what an authoritarian dictator the Neo-Tsar is, this level of openness and willingness to field even difficult questions, is without equal anywhere else in the world.
NO OTHER COUNTRY does this. Not even American Presidents get this level of exposure and potential criticism. They certainly are not known for putting up with nearly 5 hours of questioning – without so much as a bathroom break. And, keep in mind, the MFIC here is 73 years old (I think). That means he is only a couple of years younger than some of our parents – yet he is capable of sticking to a schedule that would put most men HALF his age into an early grave.
President Putin truly is one of a kind. Loathe him if you want – I do not, indeed, quite the contrary – but one cannot reasonably argue that he is an ineffective or incapable leader.
And with that, let us get to the lovely lady of the week – the second-to-last for 2025.
This here is Marina Ivanovna, age unknown but probably in her early 20s, from Stavropol in the North Caucasus region of Russia. I have no clue what she does beyond that. I don’t think she is an AI model, though her photos look suspiciously touched up, to some extent, so I am guessing her iPhone filter game is strong. But other men in the chat are better judges of such things than I am. Regardless, she does bring a touch of class to proceedings, in my view.
Happy Friday, gentlemen.

The pics look real, but her face looks AI, so yeah… filtered to hell and back.
Not one swimsuit picture. That shows class and I appreciate it.
we’ve been aware for some time that there are major problems in the USN, the report on the friendly fire shoot down in the Truman Carrier Group exposes near universal maintenance and operational incompetence and failures. and the one commenter is asserting that these issues are endemic in the service branch, this isn’t just specific to the CG or ship. completely inexcusable for a nation spending more on defense than the next 10 largest militaries on the planet.
.
at this point, sinking a US carrier is going to be child’s play for any near peer power. we might manage to do it ourselves a’ la the McCain or Fitzgerald incidents.
