I saw a satirical picture earlier this morning, which said that the Duma had proposed to change the names of the days of the week. Rather appropriate, instead of Monday through Friday, the joke was that the Russian government wants to name the days, “Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression, Acceptance”.
For once, I would say that is actually a pretty good idea, relative to most of the meme ideas we normally see.
Never fear, though, the Great Mondaydact Browser Smasher is here to save the day and distract everyone with the awfulness of the day.
I have been catching up on A LOT of missed gaming time – about 7 years’ worth, to be honest – over the last few months. Now that I have my Xbox Series X and home theatre system all fully installed and ready, I have been working my way through various game franchises – starting with HALO Infinite, which I genuinely loved. Now I am on Gears of War 5, and I have to say, it is really good. Definitely up there with Gears 2 in terms of quality and playability. The innovations are excellent, the character development is superb, the plot is gripping, and the gameplay is AWESOME.
Playing it also reminded me of why we all love these games – because they are GLORIOUSLY violent:
Of course, if you have ever played all the games (as I have… I think, I might have missed an expansion pack or so somewhere), then you know that trying to figure out what the hell is going on, is rather a challenge. The saga has a rich backstory and lore, and it is worth taking some time to listen to/read through it:
