“We are Forerunners. Guardians of all that exists. The roots of the Galaxy have grown deep under our careful tending. Where there is life, the wisdom of our countless generations has saturated the soil. Our strength is a luminous sun, towards which all intelligence blossoms… And the impervious shelter, beneath which it has prospered.”

Friday T&A: Calm Before the Storm Edition

By some miracle, we appear to have made it to the end of another week, and the world is still more or less kind of sort of intact. Whether it stays that way, of course, is a rather different question. Yet, I think we have good reason for optimism at the moment.

Hassan Nasrallah gave a grand old speech, watched by MILLIONS of Moose-Limbs around the world today – and, as far as I can tell, it was a giant nothingburger. For those who have no idea who this particular beardy is – he is a follower of Mo’Lester the Paedophile Profit of the Religion of Pieces. He is the putative leader of Hezbollah, the Shi’ite militia group backed heavily by the Iranians operating in southern Lebanon.

In his speech today, he basically told the Israelis NOT to venture into southern Lebanon – a lesson they have, hopefully, learned since their failed foray into that region in the 1980s, which ended in rather ignominious defeat. As long as the Israelis do not do that, Hezbollah will not enter the fray, but up to that point, to quote the man himself, “all options are open”.

So, while not exactly completely reassuring, it does indicate a desire on the part of many regional actors not to let this crisis go full-on end-times. And that is VERY much to the good.

Let us see whether the Israelites pay heed to this rare display of common sense, and likewise scale down their operations in Gaza. The last thing people around the world need to see right now, is yet more images of babies torn apart by Israeli bombs.

That being said, I do think that at some point, the adults will prevail. The Russians, Chinese, Saudis, Iranians, and Egyptians are not led by fools – quite the opposite, in fact. And they have made it VERY clear that their moral position is on the side of diplomacy and peace. Again, it is up to the Israelis to take the chance offered to them to de-escalate and return to diplomatic means to keep the Pali-Walis down and out.

And, again, let us hope and pray they take it.

In the meantime, let us set about enjoying our weekends. This here is Imogen Bow from PommieBastardLande – no idea how old she is, but it looks like she is in her mid-twenties. She is a TikTokist, which in our benighted era apparently counts as a real job. She claims to be a ginger – and has the freckles to back it up – but her dark roots make me rather wonder about how much soul she actually has.

That’s all, boys. Happy weekend, all.

    Didact,

The YouTube channel Scammer Payback is doing yeoman work, and is up to 7M subscribers in just a couple of years.

Here is their latest video exposing more Indian scammers, and how Indians don’t think stealing is wrong :

Indian Internet scammers are a unique blend of evil and cowardly. They are not even something Hollywood could cast as the main villains in a movie. Every other type of criminal (South American Drug Lords, Cosa Nostra mafia, Irish gangsters, Muslim terrorists, Russian Oligarchs, German terrorists like Hans Gruber, black gangsters, etc.) can make convincing villains, but these weakling Indian computer scammers are not even that.

My opinion of Indian culture has never been lower. I would wager you have arrived at the same conclusion.
