The Russians have made absolutely clear that they will not tolerate any attempts by the Ukronazis and their neoclown backers to invade a part of Crimea that voluntarily wanted to secede and join the Russian Federation:
Russia will be forced to protect the residents of Donbass if Ukraine launches full-scale hostilities against the region. That’s according to Dmitry Kozak, President Vladimir Putin’s deputy chief of staff, who is himself Ukrainian.
Speaking on Thursday, Kozak claimed that a ramping-up of the conflict would lead to the end of Ukraine, with the Kremlin forced to stand up for its citizens living in the territory of Donbass. In recent years, Moscow has made it much simpler for those living in Ukraine to get a Russian passport, and many have taken up the offer.
“Everything depends on what the scale of fighting will be. If there is, as the president says, a Srebrenica, we will be forced to stand up for ourselves,” he said, referring to Putin’s comment in 2019 that he fears a genocide in Donetsk and Lugansk, if Kiev regains control of Donbass. The Srebrenica massacre, which took place in 1995, was Europe’s worst atrocity since the end of World War II, and led to the death of more than 8,000 Bosnian Muslims.
And that, by the way, is the official line from RT, which is indeed a state-sponsored media outlet. (Ironic, is it not, that Russian state-sponsored media is far more honest and trustworthy than almost anything in the West?)
Wait, It Gets Worse!
Actually, if anything, the RT story understates the seriousness of Russia’s resolve to a considerable degree. The never-to-be-sufficiently-cursed whorenalists and presstitutes of the Western (((media))))))) have a considerably more alarming view of the situation:
A senior Kremlin official today warned that if Russia is forced to defend its citizens in the disputed Donbass region it would be ‘the beginning of the end Ukraine.’
Tensions have soared in eastern Ukraine in recent weeks after Vladimir Putin dispatched tanks, helicopters and thousands of troops to the Ukrainian border.
Ukraine’s president Volodymyr Zelenskiy flew into Donbass today in a new show of strength as he shook hands with soldiers along the frontier which separates them from Russian-backed rebels.
Putin insists the build up of military hardware close to the border is defensive and that upcoming drills are part of routine ‘combat readiness’ inspections.
But the deputy head of Russia’s presidential administration, Dmitry Kozak, continued the Kremlin’s tough rhetoric today, as he warned: ‘The start of military action – this would be the beginning of the end of Ukraine.’
That is not exaggeration or hyperbole on the Kremlin’s part. They are dead serious and the unreconstructed Trotskyite neoclown asshats intent on conquering Russia had damned well realise it. There are a few things that Western observers need to understand, very clearly, about what Russia is today.
Unbent, Unbowed, Unbroken

First, Russia is no longer the weak, supine, broken, pathetic remnant of the Soviet Empire that it was 20 years ago. In the span of a single generation under the Neo-Tsar, Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, Russia has transformed itself from a helpless and hapless bankrupt also-ran, into a modern nation with a functioning economy that is transitioning away from energy as its primary source of income.
A few years ago, i wrote about the significant energy dependence of Russia’s economy. Back in 2015, almost 50% of Russia’s GDP came from its massive reserves of oil and natural gas. Today, that number is only about 30%. This is still pretty bloody high, but the Russian government’s “breakeven point” for oil prices has dropped significantly, possibly right down to $40/bbl, and it is now a relatively modern consumption-driven economy.
Think on the implications of this for a moment. Russia has reduced its dependence on energy – at the same time that Europe, particularly Germany, has MASSIVELY increased its need for Russian oil and particularly gas just to keep the lights on. (This is what happens when you adopt insanely stupid “green energy” policies – you get “green energy poverty”.)
The Nord Stream projects, in particular, would allow Russia to deliver a combined 110 BILLION cubic feet of natural gas (upon completion of NS2) to Europe. And ALL of it would bypass Ukraine completely, while also locking out more expensive American exports of LNG.
All of this shows the unavoidable truth that Europe needs Russia – but Russia doesn’t really need Europe.
Lean, Mean Fighting Machine

Second, as I have pointed out MANY times in various posts, the NATO powers are, in military terms, largely an utter joke. Ukraine has a big military, no doubt. But they are armed primarily with old Soviet leftovers. The armaments that they get from the USA are dangerous – but the Russians have countermeasures in place, and are busy developing more. We can infer that they can defend pretty well against Western “stealth” technology – it was a Russian scientist named Pyotr Ufimtsev whose work is the foundation for stealth, after all – and they already have the Su-57, which almost certainly can fly circles around the turducken plane.
If the NATO powers intervene with additional armour, 4th- or 5th-gen jets, and troops, they are going to run straight into the teeth of probably the world’s best land-based fighting force.
That’s before we get to the reality that Ukraine’s military power pales in comparison with Russia’s. In fact, Europe’s military power looks absurd compared to the big bad Russian bear.
Unlike the Western powers, most of whom couldn’t fight their way out of a paper bag and couldn’t bring themselves to face down a pack of teenagers armed with water balloons, the Russian military today is a very powerful fighting force. They have slimmed down dramatically since the fall of the Soviet Union – the modern Russian military numbers less than a million active-duty personnel. At the same time, they have radically modernised and streamlined their equipment, tactics, technologies, and strategic approach to war. They now have a proper NCO cadre in the ranks to help them maintain cohesion between enlisted and officers.
And unlike the Western powers, the Russians don’t tend to waste their limited resources on mindbogglingly stupid ideas like the Joint Strike Flying Piano.
If the Ukrainians are genuinely overconfident enough to provoke war with Russia, and assume that they have NATO backing to do so, they are going to find out in a terrible hurry what the difference is between a weak and decadent European “military”, and a battle-hardened, technologically advanced, skilled, and professional military dedicated to fighting defensively oriented land wars.
Russia can, and does, produce world-class tanks, fighters, helicopters, and rifles. The Ukrainians will be up against a far superior enemy if they provoke a war.
Wheels Within Wheels
Third, and worst, the machinations we are seeing right now run far deeper than any of us realise.
As Our Beloved and Dreaded Supreme Dark Lord (PBUH) Vox Day the Terrible and Merciless pointed out recently, the reason why the neoclown crazies inside the Beltway are all-fired-up for war with Russia is because it serves as a useful distraction for them.
The arrangement appears to be to sell out Taiwan – which was always going to happen anyway, regardless – and go all-in for an attack on Russia. Essentially, China gets to own the Pacific, at least in and around the South and East China Seas, and do whatever it wants with Taiwan. In exchange, the neoclowns get to try to bring Russia to heel.
Ain’t gonna work.
Make no mistake, THIS ATTACK WILL FAIL. Unlike America and most Western European powers, the Russians don’t waste their time on diversity exercises and dumbing down their admission standards for the sake of wokeness. Nor do they have any patience for the transparently stupid notion of putting women or diversity hires in charge of their military operations.
And all of this is over… what, exactly?
The Donbass region voted clearly to join Russia in 2014. The CIA and several others within the US government then backed the overthrow of the pro-Russian Ukrainian President Yanukovych, and instigated a massive revolution that thoroughly destabilised a still-recovering FSU nation. One of the men that backed this lunacy was Anthony Blinken. You might recognise him as the Secretary of State of the United States of America today.
This is the worst kind of insane stupidity. If Afghanistan is the graveyard of empires, Russia is the meat-grinder that wipes out their militaries. The Russians have A THOUSAND YEARS of experience with existential threats to their sovereignty and national survival. The Germans and the Mongols are about the only people who ever truly threatened Russia’s existence as a nation – and the Germans lost the cream of their army to the fearsome Russian winters, while the Mongols were gone from Russia’s core territories in under two centuries, never to return.
Watch the Empire Collapse
Understand this, brothers, and understand it well:
We are watching the collapse of the American empire before our very eyes.
If America really is dumb enough to back a truly futile attempt by the Ukrainians to take back territory that doesn’t want to be part of their country, then America deserves whatever it gets. And what it is very likely to get, is utter humiliation.
This is how empires collapse. When they demonstrate that their much-vaunted military power is actually nothing more than a paper construct, and they cannot fight worth a damn against a real military, people lose all confidence in them. That is also how world wars begin.
Final Thoughts
The Russian government, and people, do not want war. I’ve spent enough time in Russia to understand the character of the people. I love them as I do Americans. And I have no wish to see either nation embroiled in war with the other. But the difference between Russia and America is that the Russians are still ruled by basic decency, good sense, and a love of country and people.
However, if war becomes inevitable, and the Ukrainians fire the first shot, under the illusion that NATO will back them in their idiotic endeavour… then all bets are off.
Expect the Russians to march in, wipe out the Ukrainians on their own turf, and very possibly parade right into the centre of Kiev itself.
This is not going to end well. Pray God that someone with more than half a working brain – which is to say, more brain cells than the entire Fake Presidential Maladministratrion combined – grows a spine and balls, and pulls America back from the brink of a proxy war that it will lose in utterly humiliating fashion.
Oh, and by the way – the answer to the question in the title is, самоубийство запада – quite literally, “self-murder of the West”.

Anatoly Karlin suggests that the point may be to force Russia to openly intervene in Ukraine in order to repel the attack. The US could then use this to pressure Germany to shut down the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline and lessen Europe’s dependence on Russian energy.
In other words, the plan is not for Ukraine to win the war. Wonder how their leaders are being incentivized into this.

That is a very good point. Nord Stream 2 would shut Ukraine out of the loop of control for Russia’s gas exports to Europe – and it would also probably shut down the ability of American LNG to compete with Russian gas in terms of both price and volume.
The problem with the Euzis is that they are too stupid, or too tied into Green ideology (which amounts to the same thing) to understand that they are only dependent on Russian energy because of their own idiocy. If they would simply exploit their own natural resources properly, and stop shutting down their nuclear and coal-fired power plants, they wouldn’t NEED Russian natural gas to anything like the same degree.
It is a scary thought, myself at an anti-war rally.
That is, indeed, a terrifying thought – Genghis Tom at an anti-war rally, rubbing shoulders with unwashed hippies…
