It used to be easy for me to insult the New York F***ing Times by calling them ПРАВДА, which those of you who know your history will recognise as the state-run newspaper in Soviet times whose name meant, hilariously, “truth” in Russian. The Russkies themselves certainly considered the name to be an absolute joke at the time, and paid little if any attention to it outside of the CCP elite.

Nowadays, though, knowing the Russians as I do, I consider it a mortal insult to the Russian people to call a rag as useless, stupid, biased, and utterly pointless as the NYFT by a Russian noun.

Why do I rag on the NYFT so hard? Well, it is not just because they are so plainly biased and so utterly hopeless as a news reporting organisation. It is not just because they are now shrill cheerleaders for every stupid idea of the Left (and that is a HUGE list).

It is also because, like the rest of the Left, the NYFT can’t meme:

The New York Times tried its hand at a Star Wars meme to celebrate the launch of impeachment proceedings against President Donald Trump – and proved what conservatives have been saying for years: the Left can’t meme.

“A long time coming for a White House far from reality,” the clip reads, before launching into scrolling text designed to mimic the opening to the Star Wars films. Titled “Episode 45,” the meme features two and a half minutes of every misdeed – real and imagined – committed by Trump during his presidency, heavy on the Russiagate conspiracy theorizing.

The FAIL is strong with this one.

Naturally, it didn’t take very long for the shitlords of the Hard Right to dogpile right on top of the failing pile of garbage that is the Sulzberger rag and show them exactly who their daddy is:

That “daddy”, of course, is His Most Benevolent and Legendary Celestial Majesty, the God-Emperor of Mankind, Donaldus Triumphus Magnus Astra.

The Left seriously has no idea how to meme. They used to be able to do it, let’s give them credit where it’s due. These iconic images of Barry Hussein Odumbass are classic memes, and they were highly effective:

But that was 10 years ago. Times have changed. Back then, the Left was, to some extent, the counterculture. Today, they are the dominant ideology and have been for quite some time. And like most dominant mainstream cultures, they have become ossified and stupid and overly self-serious.

The Right is now the counterculture. We now have humour, beauty, intelligence, and – most importantly – Truth on our side. We never lost the Truth, let’s be clear – we just lost sight of it for a long time, and we kind of lost our sense of humour for a while.

But now we’re back to laughing our asses off at the stupidity of the Left. And that is exactly why we’re going to win – because we aren’t interested in playing by the old rules anymore.
