“We are Forerunners. Guardians of all that exists. The roots of the Galaxy have grown deep under our careful tending. Where there is life, the wisdom of our countless generations has saturated the soil. Our strength is a luminous sun, towards which all intelligence blossoms… And the impervious shelter, beneath which it has prospered.”
One of the rare latter-day HAMMERFALL songs that is actually fun to listen to:
I really don’t know what happened to those guys. Their first two albums were really solid- not great, not quite up there with HELLOWEEN, BLIND GUARDIAN, GAMMA RAY, or GRAVE DIGGER, but still very heavy and very fun to listen to. But with every subsequent release, they’ve become less interesting and innovative, to the point where they are as much fun to listen to as someone chewing on a celery stalk.
At least they can still pull it off once in a while, though.
