I don’t think CNN quite knew just what kind of a can of whoop-ass it was opening when it decided, in all of that organisation’s hubris and stupidity, to take on Donaldus Triumphus head-on. The God-Emperor is the greatest master of the art of trolling that I have ever seen.
Yeah, it gets them great ratings when they pick fights with President Trump. Every major news network knows this. That’s why they do it.
The problem is that they seem to think that the American people are all made up of complete idiots.
I actually do understand why they think this way. All you have to do is spend ten minutes talking to a decent sample of “average American voters” and you will quickly sour on the entire concept of representative democracy. (Which by the way is merely a modern re-telling of more or less the same story that caused the Founding Fathers to create a republic, not a democracy.)
However, while there are plenty of idiots in America, there are also millions upon millions of average folk who simply wish to be left alone to live their lives as they see fit.
Not exactly coincidentally, most such folk are middle-aged, middle-class, suburban, and white.
And they don’t take terribly kindly to being called idiots, racists, misogynists, and lunatics every other minute by a bunch of arrogant elitist intellectuals-yet-idiots sitting in New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Atlanta.
What we are seeing now is the inevitable result of CNN’s colossal institutional arrogance, which completely misread the public mood and thought that they could get away with what even the most aggressive of us Alt-Right shitlords would call a clear-cut attempt at blackmail. And now they’re paying a severe price for their overreach.
I say that it’s about time. They are now being exposed to the same kind of Two Minutes Hate that they so love to regularly inflict upon their own hapless victims during the 24-hour news cycle. Judging by the results, they can dish it out, but they sure as hell can’t take it in return.
Keep piling on the pressure, fellow shitlords.
