For the carnivores amongst us (which is, basically, every single person who reads this site, because we absolutely, positively, 100% DO NOT tolerate vegans around here), you know what a “tomahawk steak” is. Simply put, it is a ribeye steak with the long bone of the rib still attached to it.
And for those of you who have ever bought a tomahawk steak, you know the truth in the saying that you are paying unnecessarily for the bone, because most stores charge by the pound – regardless of whether you are buying a steak with a bone in it, or not.
That is why some steak chefs argue a tomahawk steak really is not worth the money:
A different kind of Tomahawk has been in the news of late, inevitably because of the sheer stupidity and craziness of ‘Murkin furrin policy with respect to the Banderastan War. In this case, the “Tomahawk” in question, is an American-made subsonic long-range nuclear-capable cruise missile, first designed in the 1970s, and which has seen extensive use by the US military in a variety of forms and variants around the world.
The Clown Crackhead of Queef has had it in his head for some time now that the Banderastani regime needs to use Tomahawks to strike deep into Russian territory, thereby doing to Russia what the Russians are doing to Ukraine right now – attacking power plants, factories, industrial centres, logistics hubs, and the like.
This idea was once considered so preposterous that even the Brandon Fake Maladminstration refused to countenance it. When Bellendsky the Narcofuehrer demanded Tomahawk missiles from the US last year, even the Pentaloons flatly turned him down.
Now, however, Neocon Don is entertaining the idea pretty seriously, supposedly as a way of getting leverage against the Russians to force them to the negotiating table and end the war in Ukraine – very strongly, no doubt:
The sheer insanity of what Ornj Boi is proposing, requires one to sit down and think carefully for all of about, oh, three seconds.
The Tomahawk Land Attack Missile (TLAM) was originally designed to provide both conventional and nuclear strike capabilities. The nuclear-armed variants are indistinguishable from the conventional ones on a radar screen. They are also exclusively American-designed, American-controlled systems, that rely entirely on American guidance data and inputs to reach their targets.
The logical inference is obvious:
If the Russians see something like a TLAM flying toward them from somewhere in Europe, they will have no choice but to assume it is nuclear-armed.
And then we all DIE, because the Russians have the “Dead Man’s Hand” protocol, that says: “if Russia is attacked with a nuclear weapon, THROW OUT EVERYTHING WE’VE GOT”.
This is not strategic thinking. It is not Four-Dimensional Chess. It is nothing more than an incredibly stupid bluff.
The only reason Drumpf is throwing out this idea, is because he has nothing left with which to threaten Russia, at all. He has no economic leverage over them. His attempt to bully China and India into compliance through the use of tariffs has backfired spectacularly – both countries told him to go pound sand when he demanded that they stop buying Russian energy. Russia is the most heavily sanctioned country on Earth, and yet all Дончик can do is bluster about how the Russian economy is collapsing and in dire trouble, and about how lines for petrol in Russia are horribly long, and there are serious shortages of petrol and diesel.
All of this is arrant nonsense:
Russia’s economy HAS slowed down, that is absolutely for sure. I confirmed this myself when I was there last month. It is NOT growing at anything like the pace it was a year ago. But it is not in serious trouble. Life in Moscow – and most of the rest of Russia – is shockingly normal, considering the global situation.
The Russians know Trump has no leverage over them. I suspect that in the Kremlin, every time they see Donny-Boy fire off another one of his verbally incontinent and intellectually insipid TROOFS, they laugh until their sides hurt.
After all, this is why CHADvedev responded thusly to Ornj Boi on his Telegram channel:

Simply put, the Russians are supremely unimpressed by this kind of stupidity.
And that is precisely what this bluster is – the absolute WORST level of stupidity. There is not one iota of strategic thinking, no hint of consideration as to how the other side views such provocations, and no sense whatsoever of any kind of long-term goal or approach to international relations.
It is all shoot-from-the-lip TROOFing without any sort of sense or coherence.
The Russians, who are a rational, patient, methodical, and exceptionally cultured bunch, are not used to this kind of idiocy. They expect more from their opponents on the global stage. The hissy-fits of children and morons simply make them roll their eyes in disgust. They do not take such things seriously.
The problem, from a Russian perspective, is that the United States of America is not merely any other pissant European country – all bark and no bite.
The US is in fact a nuclear-armed superpower – from a Russian perspective, it is THE nuclear superpower, the only other one on the planet that can seriously challenge Russian strategic capabilities in an offensive way. The Chinese have the world’s largest military, but the US has the world’s second-best, and unlike China, it has a level of nuclear power that actually approaches that of Russia.
It is a simple and incontrovertible law of geopolitics that nuclear-armed superpowers, of the kind that Russia and the US are, move in different orbits than the rest of the nations of the Earth. It is of vital importance to the Russians, therefore, that they keep channels of dialogue and discussion open with the US – no matter how distasteful they find it to do so.
This pragmatic understanding of power politics helps explain why the Neo-Tsar, when confronted with such blatant and relentlessly stupid retardery, issued such a tepid response:
Literally all he said was that, in response to the US sending Tomahawks to Ukraine, Russia would strengthen its air defences. That’s it.
And this, I believe, has landed him in some serious hot water with the hardliners in the Kremlin.
I am not alone in this view. If you look at the Alexes of The Duran, who did an analysis of the situation earlier today, you will see them expressing similar sentiments, in much greater detail:
Parenthetically, that is probably the most angry and frustrated that I have ever seen Alex Christoforou in over 3 years of following their programmes almost religious. They are my daily fix of geopolitics – I never miss an episode of Alexander Mercouris’s daily series, and I have watched very nearly everything they have jointly done. Never before have I seen that much anger from Alex C. on the subject of Putin’s responses to anything.
The thing is, I completely understand where he is coming from, because I have seen and heard exactly the same sentiments, from Russians, in Russia, for months now.
The Neo-Tsar is caught in a very odd trap. He is extremely well-liked and respected in Russia. His approval ratings routinely hit somewhere between 80% and 85% in the country. Almost no other politician in the world has that kind of approval rating – probably not even Xi Jinping of China. If you stacked Emanuelle Micron, Queer Stormer, and that Kraut knuckelhead Merz together, their approval ratings combined would not reach that of the Neo-Tsar.
Yet, at the same time, the Russian people are weary of war. They are tired of watching incremental advances for days and weeks at a time. They want an end to the bloodshed, and they do not want to see the terrible sacrifices they and their sons and brothers and fathers have endured, for almost 4 years, gone to waste. They will not tolerate a freeze of the conflict; they will not accept anything less than total victory.
To them, that total victory includes the conquest of Odessa, which Russians (correctly) consider part of their historical lands.
And Russians, almost to a man and a woman, DO NOT TRUST the West, any longer. They have NO tolerance for Western nonsense, degeneracy, stupidity, lies, and betrayal. They have zero patience with Western governments. I have heard these exact sentiments even from the rare (nowadays) Russians that dislike President Putin’s policies – they are fed to the back teeth with the West’s insanity, and they want nothing more to do with it.
This imposes a very real bind on the Neo-Tsar. He cannot afford to make an unjust peace – the Russian people, who love him now, will vilify him later if he does that. He also cannot afford to pursue anything less than outright victory.
Yet he, practically alone among the entire Russian Security Council, still seeks a modus vivendi with the West. He still wants to maintain civil relations with the United States, if for no other reason than that he firmly believes in open dialogue even with Russia’s enemies.
NO ONE ELSE IN THE SECURITY COUNCIL now shares those views – not even Sergei CHADrov, the world’s longest-serving and most experienced, by far, Foreign Minister and diplomat.
The Russian Security Council is now basically entirely a hardliner camp. The ONLY moderate left, in the entire bunch, is The Putin.
I have said this before, many times, and I will say it again: President Putin is the MODERATE in the Russian leadership class. This also demonstrates the sheer insanity of the idea that the West can somehow pull a regime change operation in Russia, and thereby get a leader like Yeltsin.
Understand this, and understand it well:
There will NEVER be another Yeltsin. Never. The Russian military will make absolutely sure of that.
The military, which has saved the country repeatedly in its long history, saved it from Yeltsin in 1999, when they basically pulled a soft coup by telling him to retire and get out, while they installed a totally unknown “grey man” functionary called Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin into power, catapulting him from the head of the FSB, to the Prime Minister, and then the President.
Putin’s true source of power, his greatest and most firm ally, is the military. And the military continues to back him – because he basically told them, back in June or so of last year, after the SMO really started following the collapse of the talks in Istanbul, to ignore the calendar, and take the time to secure a true victory.
President Putin has made many mistakes in his long reign as the Neo-Tsar – he is only human, after all. His compassion for the West is one of his true weaknesses and follies – he did live in Germany for a long time, and he is at heart a Europhile. For all that the West loves to daemonise him, he is practically the ONLY member of the Russian ruling elite that has any faith or trust in the West any longer.
Once he goes – that restraining force goes with him. The man who replaces him – most likely someone like Aleksandr Dyumin, or perhaps Pyotr Tolstoy (yes, a descendant of THAT Tolstoy) – will assuredly be much less forgiving and tolerant of the West’s tomfoolery.
The Putin is running out of room to manoeuvre. Donny-Boy’s stupid bloviating and warmongering with these Tomahawks is not helping him. All it will take is for a single Tomahawk to slip through Russia’s air defence nets – and that is virtually guaranteed, even with the roughly 95% success rate of Russia’s AD systems – for the Russian people to demand blood.
They are furious that Russia’s response to the threat of Tomahawks is so tepid. There is very real and very serious criticism of The Putin now being voiced openly – not just within the Kremlin, but elsewhere.
Never mind that the Tomahawks will only be available in limited numbers – perhaps 50 at most. The FUSA cannot spare many of these, despite its supposed stockpile of over 4,000 of the things. The US Navy started running low on them a year ago. And that is before we get to the problems with calibrating and launching them – the Typhon land-based launching system is hugely expensive, very unwieldy, and there just aren’t very many of them (like TWO, last time I looked).
Once the Tomahawks go… all bets are off. The Russians will have every right to respond at the nuclear level.
They probably – hopefully! – will not. They can respond in asymmetric ways, by cutting off titanium or uranium yellowcake shipments to the US, for instance. This would scupper the US aircraft and nuclear power industries very quickly, imposing real economic pain on a financialised and hollowed-out America.
Is Donny-Boy thinking that far ahead? I seriously doubt it. As we have discovered for the past 10 months, to our great collective regret and shame, he is all sizzle, and almost no steak.
I leave you with the detailed and erudite thoughts of DA KERNEL HIZZSELF!!!, who expands on all the points above beautifully:
