“We are Forerunners. Guardians of all that exists. The roots of the Galaxy have grown deep under our careful tending. Where there is life, the wisdom of our countless generations has saturated the soil. Our strength is a luminous sun, towards which all intelligence blossoms… And the impervious shelter, beneath which it has prospered.”

Monday morning kaffeeklatsch

Lord but I hate Mondays.

Well, most people hate Mondays, but I have a special reason to hate this particular Monday. It’s my last Monday in Russia, at least for the foreseeable future, and I am really not looking forward to packing up my things and heading back to the old country, for many reasons.

It was a LOT of fun while it lasted, but all good things, etc.

Seeing as how it is Monday, and the only thing that we can really drink on a Monday morning to get rid of the blues is coffee, I figured that it might be worth opening up this week’s edition of Monday antivenin with some coffee-themed pictures.

We start with one designed to poke fun of consumers of frothy overpriced espresso-based drinks everywhere – including and especially me, since I am HIGHLY partial to a good cappuccino, latte, or flat white:

Then there is the perennial favourite, the “coffee owls”:

The thing is, though, that most non-pretentious, non-douchebag, and therefore non-liberal Americans think that coffee is really simple to order, and it is American coffee companies, like Starbucks’, that made it such a pretentious and complicated and overpriced drink.

I would forgive you for believing this, if it were not for the fact that I have been to both Singapore and Malaysia, and know a thing or ten about how the Malays go about their coffee orders:

Yeah, I know. Ordering a cup of coffee should not be more complicated than a quantum physics equation. But it is.

Actually, while we are on the subject of physics equations – it is a generally well known and accepted fact that the length of your coffee order is directly proportional to how big an asshole you are.

So how big a пиздец do you suppose THIS guy is?

Whoever ordered that is an ignoranus – which is to say, both an idiot and an asshole.

***

Troll Level – ARYAN!!!:

These guys are a lot of fun to watch for us on the Hard Right. And you don’t even have to be white to agree with them. I’m not, and I do.

***

Apparently the Daemoncrats’ next great liberal messiah is a white dude who wants everyone to think that he is Hispanic, running to unseat budding shitlord Ted Cruz from his Senate seat in Texas. His name is Robert O’Rourke, and he is the most Oirish guy you will ever meet outside of Ireland, yet he goes around telling everyone to call him “Beto”, and… well, he’s about the most Beta liberal that I’ve seen this side of the previous half-white liberal messiah who pretended to be black:

As a reader recently pointed out to me, Jesus said that you could only divorce in the event that your significant other commits adultery – but He didn’t know about Democrats.

Now, I am usually NOT in favour of amending the Book of Life for any reason, but in this specific case, I might make an exception:

You can only divorce your husband/wife if he/she commits adultery on you OR votes Democrat.

Pictures from Power Line, plus a bunch of good old-fashioned gratuitous gun porn absolutely guaran-damn-teed to cause severe ass-pain and rectal bleeding among liberaltards:

Badass fighter and coach Ramsey Dewey has some excellent advice for everyone out there to counteract some of the bullshido that you will witness after this:

This week’s best (worst) gym fails AND bullshido, all in one convenient(ly horrifying) package:

I’m not a big believer in breaking boards and rocks and bricks and other such crap to demonstrate martial skill, but I will say this: I know a 4th Dan black belt in tae kwon do (twice over, actually) who has trained under some of the best TKD masters out there, and there are people who can legitimately break things with their bare hands and fists. It is awesome to watch.

Is it practical, though? Eh… not so much.

And now for some gym beasts to offset the asshattery you saw earlier:

I never fail to be inspired by guys like that. I don’t care what drugs they use, whether they are natty or not (hint: they definitely are not), or what training program they use. The great virtue of powerlifting is that the iron never, ever lets you lie to yourself or anyone else. Either you can lift the weight, or you cannot. It is just that simple.

Related – how much weight can a standard 45lb gym barbell take? The answer might just surprise you:

Instathot of the day – who actually might not be that much of a thot, if we are honest. She is the mother of a little boy and by all indications seems to be really a pretty decent, classy, beautiful lady.

Oh, and she’s Russian. Obviously. (Well, technically she is from Belarus, but since the two countries have extremely close links, it’s not really much of a distinction.)
