An excellent point. I did not think of this and now that you mention it, I agree with you. I thought that there was something really weird about her facial expressions, but couldn't figure out why. Now I see that there is, indeed, something daemonic about her. There is some seriously messed up shit going on in the Gretard's life, and judging by what I have seen, it comes from her parents.

I agree. And we tend to get there through the natural tendency of rich societies to value such things more than purely material gain. During the Industrial Revolution, countries didn't much care how they polluted their atmospheres – but as they grew richer and the middle classes began to expand and grow, the need for clean air and water triggered its own demands and industries to deliver precisely those things.

As you say, other world leaders ignored her because she's bugshit nuts. We've already seen how the USA has managed to grow its economy while reducing its CO2 emissions and still having clean air and water – and it happened through capitalistic expansions of the energy industry.

He wasn't entirely "all there", and he died a virgin as far as anyone can tell. But yes, his genius was wasted and Thomas Edison stole his greatest invention. And, indeed, that does inspire misanthropy (not that I, personally, need much of an excuse in this regard).

The problem with alternative energy and technology is that we pretty much have what it takes to deal with pollution but we are too preoccupied with banning duck liver meat and plastic straws.
