However, the problems in Britain today are not simply about mass immigration, work-shyness and welfare dependence, or even Islamicization – these are problems to be sure, but they’re symptoms of a deeper malaise. Any attempt to resolve the symptoms without addressing the deeper malaise is a waste of time, energy, money and will ultimately undermine this new party like a sinkhole the same way that’s happening with every other party. The deeper malaise is that White Britons by and large have abandoned Christ and continue to do so in steadily increasing numbers. The ‘Christian heritage’ Mr Lowe is hoping to preserve is being frittered away by the chronic and determined rejection of Christ by Whites in favor of modernism and secularism. This has made it easy pickings for the Mammonites.

The numbers provide a clear picture of who is preserving ‘Christian heritage’ Britain. One can rely on reported data only in a limited way in matters of faith but they do provide a bit of color. Latest data shows that around 23 million white Britons identify as Christian with only 19% attending church regularly and only 6% of whom are practising Christians (defined as attending church at least monthly and engaging in prayer or Bible reading weekly). That equates to around 1.4 million practicing Christians in Britain who are White. That number is declining by around 3% per year.

By contrast, there are 2.8 million non-White Christians in Britain, with 48% attending church regularly and around 15% of whom are practising Christians. That number is increasing by around 5% annually. That means there are currently around 450k non-White practising Christians in Britain, with the numbers increasing steadily. It’s important to emphasize that these numbers are for serious Christians who take their faith seriously, and therefore who contribute much more to the preservation and transmission of Christian values than the average church-goer whose numbers of course will be much greater.

These numbers don’t bode well for the White Protestant Christian Britain idea. The fact is that the ‘nation of Christian values’ Mr Lowe is talking about is being preserved and transmitted into the future by a large and growing number of immigrants and their descendants almost as much as by Whites and, if the trends continue, these immigrants will by any Christian measure rightly inherit the role of chief stewards of the land at some point in the not-too-distant future.

If Whites have a problem with that, then the numbers of Christians who are serious about their faith need to change from grave decline to lively growth. That’s the fundamental issue Mr. Lowe’s Restore Britain party needs to address if he wants a ‘Christian heritage’ nation that Whites can call their own. A Christian heritage is worthless without the integrity and obedience of faith, and God has shown many, many times how he thinks about that. A Restore Britain party will achieve something if it embodies a strong return-to-serious-Christian-faith character to White Britain, otherwise it’s already on its way to obscurity.
