Unlike the X-35, its design tilted more toward cost and maintenance. It didn’t have the same “fighter look,” and that hurt it in the competition. But I thought it was a credible solution proposal.

It didn’t help that the competition was stupid, demanding an attack aircraft that could also do air superiority and oh, by the way, vertical landing.
