For starters, you learn quickly how to tell women NO. Second, you can be absolutely certain that the stimulation is going to end at a set time, if that bothers you. Third, everyone is drunk, or from out of town, so any social faux-pas can be smoothed over or forgotten easily. I was actually pretty anxious when I started, but then realized that most everyone was more lax than I thought. Plus I scarfed some serious music. The end.

I effectively forced myself to talk to several hundred people, saying pretty much exactly the same thing every time. The “novelty” of interacting with strangers eventually wore off. It sucked, but the money and experience were good. I am now significantly better at initiating conversations and managing those pesky surprise discussions. Probably would’ve taken much longer to ask my gf out initially if not for that. Still need the recharge time, but I’ve increased my battery life efficiency by a considerable percentage.
