"(BOOM! PHRASING!!!)"

Well played sir.

This breakdown is helpful. I didn't realize they made bars without center knurling, nor do I want one. Squats need knurls too.
I'm seeing Rogue all over the place, and what I don't see is people who bought Rogue regretting it. I'll save up a bit more and push the budget up and grab one of those Ohio bars with the center knurl.

Used is not a good idea for all the reasons outlined.

Joe: I appreciate that, I may see if I can find a retailer who does these in person instead of ordering blindly.

I'm an EliteFTS acolyte (to me, they are Keep It Simple Stupid), why not their stuff?

Raw DL is what gets me going, so I don't perceive that any bar characteristic is going to help me or not; it comes off the ground, or it doesn't. I like more aggressive knurling than not, but there seems to always be a bar in any non-globo gym that is the one that everyone else doesn't want, and that's the bar I want (usually a little bit of oxidation somewhere). I think I'm a class II master, and F8-R ratings and whip ratings are just things that don't factor in. It either happens or it doesn't. I can feel some bars feel differently than others, but no records I've seen document whip ratings, etc., along with the recorded weight. I guess I view it as (excuse the language) "5xx #lbs, I F&&CKED YOU UP DOWN AND SIDEWAYS, YAAAR! I KNEW I HAD YOU WHEN I GRABBED YOU!" That's about as much thought as I put into it, as long as the knurling isn't smoothed over. Ya, I know high school kids DL more than me, but that's not the point.

I live in Houston, so we have "rogue light" which sells rigs and bars (Get RX'd) that are seemingly of fine quality, that I can pick up, so I'm in the dark as to why anyone would buy a bar they couldn't touch, whatever their preference, so I'm spoiled. Kinda like, what's a shitty 80lb kettlebell? As long as it makes you hurt, we good.
