Christmas is almost upon us, at long last (well, except for our Orthodox brethren, who will celebrate the Incarnation of Our Lord in January). And I, for one, am really happy about that. Christmas was always a huge deal in my family as a time to spend with our loved ones – it had no religious significance to us at the time, and certainly not to me. But I have many very happy memories of spending Christmases with my grandparents and cousins, and for me, that’s what Christmas has always been all about.
Even back then, before I bent the knee to Our Lord, I understood that the point of this particular season is hope and love – though faith, in my case, was rather lacking, of course. Christmas is about spending time with those that we love the most, looking forward to the future with real hope.
And that remains the case even when things seem hopeless, as they have for nearly 2 years.
Let’s face facts, lads – those of us who just want to be left the hell ALONE have taken a severe kicking over the past couple of years, thanks to what future generations are likely to regard as the biggest contrived nothingburger ever. The Coof Scamdemic has been a completely snarled-up ball of epic stupidity, incompetence, venality, corruption, greed, and extreme Dunning-Krueger Effects, all for the sake of saving old people at the expense of the futures of our younger generations.
This isn’t merely stupid – it’s EVIL. As I have said many times by now, if you forced me to choose between saving my parents (or, for that matter, myself) from death either by or with the Coof, and saving my children from a future crippled by debt, loneliness, insecurity, and crippling misery, it’s not even remotely difficult to figure out what I’m going to choose. I WILL CHOOSE MY CHILDREN. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.
And so should you.
Christmas is about hope – not just for ourselves, but for our children and their children. God gave us that hope in the form of His Son, who became Incarnate in the flesh and who assumed our own form to understand our lives and our burdens.
That takes a special kind of love – far beyond even what a parent has for his or her children. And that, too, is the point of Christmas.
Have faith, then, my brothers, that we will get through these evil and stupid times, and that our children will do what we could not, and fight back against those who have wrought such havoc upon us. Ultimately, God WILL prevail – we know this with absolute certainty. We just don’t know when it will happen.
In the meantime, enjoy your time with your family, and rest as much as you can over the next few days and weeks. Christmas is the best time of the year – take joy in your loved ones and your family, and no matter where you are, no matter what your circumstances, be grateful for what you have, and for your tests as well.
As for the reason for this post on a Thursday, rather than a Friday – well, that’s easy enough. Tomorrow is Christmas Eve, and Saturday is Christmas, and I will not defile the commemoration of the birth of Our King with (relatively) tawdry displays. So this post goes up today, since most of us will be out tomorrow and definitely Saturday.
So – our penultimate Friday lady goes by the name of Olivia Cláudia Motta Casta, age 24 (if you can believe that) from somewhere in the USA. She’s known for… spicy photos of the OnlySimps variety, so if you do happen to go looking for her, keep the SafeSearch filters ON. And, honestly, given her epic… assets, one can hardly blame her for making the most out of thirsty Gammas who want the “girlfriend experience” for $5 or more a month.
Just don’t fool yourself into pretending that an OnlySimps girl is good LTR material. She isn’t. Remember, if she’s everyone’s fake girlfriend, she’s NOT your real girlfriend.
Happy Fri- uh, Thursday, brothers. Be strong in your faith, have hope for the future, and love your family and those around you. Our Lord loved us so much that He gave us His own Son to save us from ourselves. I’ll be back up with you for my Christmas podcast.
