Absolutely, without question, no doubt whatsoever. The reality is that almost EVERYTHING we see is propaganda, designed specifically to demoralise those of us who believe in traditional morality, and to brainwash us into thinking that the abnormal is “normal”.

I do remember believing in all sorts of lies on food and diet growing up. Food pyramid anyone. 6 to 11 serving of grain, while meat is 2 to 3 serving a day.

Exactly right. The propaganda involved is ubiquitous, deep, and extremely potent. It has to be fought at every possible level – and the fight is so difficult precisely because there is so much propaganda, in so many ways.

But yes, it’s more obvious as an adult to see some of the subversive stuff.

Yep. It’s amazing how insidious the propaganda can be when you don’t have the experience and wisdom to see it.

And yes, my friends and I all ran around going “helloooo, nurse!” Mym mom would frown at us, but let it go.

I still use that phrase. And boy does it annoy some girls. Some others like it, oddly enough – but it’s one of those phrases that really needs to be used judiciously as an adult.

I do wonder how much of TV affected the Gen X and especially Gen Y minds growing up. I watch a lot of youtube of people pointing out things I watch as a kid and the problems in the shows. I often don’t remember. Like the Hello Nurse I think I watched that as a kid. How much goes over the head I am not sure.
