The Dyson sphere concept is wonderful. Given the problems with heat exchange for electronic circuitry, I can’t see putting the rings around mercury as having a positive payoff versus, say… an orbit closer to earth. Scorching your satellites is a waste of time, no matter how easy launching off Mercury could be. (Opinions are free, and you get what you pay for 😉 )
