Brando > Heston in this case. Gave me chills.

The Popp video on tools is a good one. Sent me on a tool acquisition spree for the boomsticks today after considering his material. Much more useful and calm than his regular bombastic high-five spree.

I think the queen has lost her fastball and Meghan knows it. In a herd of wolves the alpha would take on the challenger and the challenger would win. Sheer Kahn takes over from Akela and all. There's gotta be a female comparable when the matron looses her dominance to the upstart in-law chick.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a Battle Royale in Halo Infinite, especially since the multiplayer will be free-to-play. I personally can't stand Battle Royale type games though -- they feel much too random and too big. Whereas even in a BTB game you have defined starting points and weapon locations, in B.R. games your entry point is not guaranteed nor are weapon locations. Bleh.

Part of the fun of playing Halo multiplayer on a non-casual level is map knowledge, including routes and tricks for getting the key weapons / vehicles. The rush for the Banshee on Sandtrap, for example. Everything on Standoff as another. Being able to have solid team strategies for a map for group work / team-BR'ing enemies / getting a flag back to base, etc. That's all strategy and teamwork styles that fly in the face of a Battle Royale game. Team battle royale games are also screwy because there's no respawning so there's not a lot of coming back once you lose a teammate or two. I'm also not sure Halo's longer time to kill would work well in a B.R.

To me and most folks I know / play with, Halo is at its core a great team battle game. Yes, the free-for-all games can be fun, but the heart and soul is 4v4 or 8v8. I hope they don't screw that up.

Now I'll have to dig out my Rome DVDs and watch them all again. Thanks a lot!

What a great freakin' show. Well-produced, well-acted, well-plotted, and generally just tons of fun to watch, especially if you're a history geek like me. I wish I had a real-life friend like Titus Pullo.

I'm with ABL. You don't have any learning by 3-4 years old, you are already behind. And if you don't have math and language basics, especially reading by 3rd grade, school gets harder and harder.

Having an educated mom, and a father in the house, teaching you from birth is one of the cornerstones of why whites and asians do as well as they do. Often termed "white privilege"

In my world, at 18, you are done. Not sent back to 9th grade. You're on your own. Maybe a 501c charity will pay for your GED. There are some hard lessons coming his way. EH could luck out and become and ED&I resource in an HR department, I suppose.

And here, ABL is wrong. He can't go into the military. They probably won't take him without a HS diploma or GED. BTW nor will any trades dudes. I had a plumber come to fix my sewer drain. An old dude and young dude came out to dig 5+ feet down to it. Old dude was supplementing his SS. Young dude - no HS diploma. The master plumber told me when he showed up.

Can't apprentice here without a HS diploma or GED. So he said, that's what you do. You dig. All day, every day. You mow lawns, you scrub toilets. If you're lucky you flip burgers.

But the kid has failed the first test of any job - the ability to show up every day and work at something. He's probably never done it.
