I think that the Boomers should be ecstatic over the Coronavirus

They would be, IF the Chinkflu was killing off non-Boomers. The only thing that terrifies them more than losing their stuff, is going to the grave before they can use up that stuff and not leave anything for their kids.

One of the MANY good results of the Kung Flu is that the credibility of the Boomers has been severely damaged, if not destroyed outright. Time will tell whether they recover any of it, but so far, the signs are good.

That being said – there ARE some Boomers who are doing good things. The God-Emperor is a Boomer, and he's been by far the best President since Ronald Magnus, and probably the best President since Andrew Jackson.

I think that the Boomers should be ecstatic over the Coronavirus… I mean, here they did everything in their power to wreck this country and world and 'take it with them' to the best of their ability, and now with the new economic crash, they get to die and BURN IT ALL BEHIND THEM.
Kick over all the ladders, and make sure that the world can NEVER recover from their living the dream. It's like every Boomer's fondest fantasy come true!

That's a very good point. Pretty much every health ministry in every developed country was caught with its pants down – the sheer ineptitude of both the CDC and the WHO was something to behold, even by government standards.

If it weren't for the fact that people died because of their stupidity and incompetence, it would be genuinely hilarious.

Some have argued that the sheer incompetence of the various governmental body responses indicate that this entire Kung Flu crisis is a massive and desperate Deep State operation to wrench back control over Western society from the nationalists who are taking over. I find this to be highly improbable given the facts on the ground. The most likely cause was a colossal Chinese cock-up that they then insisted on covering up.

Actually there is another reason: The il-preparation of the health organizations.
A recent article in one of our major papers took a swing at the health ministry and it's GM.
Background: This GM is a young, charismatic and came from the treasury (not a doctor). Highly centralist and media savvy, he is the guy most influencing our government (health minister caught COVID-19 himself after not following social distancing guidelines – imagine the irony).

It seems that the Israeli health ministry was so unprepared (they miserably failed a joint exercise 2 years ago).
A lock-down was almost the only tool in the arsenal to slow it down and not get the blame.
