Well I'm not quite sure there is exactly a question to answer in all of that, but as I understood it, what you are asking is this:

Did Pontius Pilate deliver Jesus up for crucifixion out of fidelity to the law, or duty to Caesar? And did Pilate feel guilty about condemning an innocent man to death?

I answer these questions in today's post via a Domain Query podcast.

It's a great time for American and Western businesses to be decoupling from China fast and hard ...

But how long until America decides it needs a wall at the border wall for the Chinese?

Think of it as an advanced negotiation tactic to make sure that China pays up the several trillion dollars it now owes for its behaviour and lies.

Nothing says that a people have fucked up and are no longer welcome quite like there being zero visas for tourists and emigrants as well.

But as far as walls go, Mexico appears to have somewhat OK control of this mess -- they're the ones talking about how they might actually need a wall now.

So ... the Mexicans build a wall and pay for it?

Clever, clever man this Trump is. :-)

BTW, you know in Alberta, young women often get hunting rifles for their graduation from high school, right?

Looks like this one has a Remington 700 that someone in her family cared to put a semi-decent scope on, even if otherwise that does look a lot like the standard stock on an ADL, right down to the factory swivels.

But admit it, this could be fun for a while. :-)

The joke picture of the last supper with the police breaking. Yeah it is both funny and sad at the same time. To think that the police would break it up now. Meeting with more than 1 person is illegal and having a dinner or lunch party would get the government involved.

It makes me think more about the Soviet Union and Roman empire. In the Soviet Union it would be illegal to meet in large unless it provide by the party and probably spied on.

It makes me wonder if the Roman empire (or at least vassal states that are hotspots such as Palatine) during the time of Jesus Cracked down on large groups meetings and be on the looked out for any conspiracy for revolts. I read the New Testaments and I notice Pontius Pilate talks with Jesus and is ready to release expect for the fear of revolt or going against Caesar (and be put to death ).

Which doesn't make sense from a historical point. Normal someone like Pilate would of sent Jesus to death if the High priest told him he danger, unless he did not trust them or fear a revolt. Would Pilate feel guilty about send an innocent man to death? I know in the Western world many would but this is after Centuries of influence of Christianity. Also Pilate doing the custom of releasing one man for Jews at Passover? All 4 of the gospels bible accounts have this.

If we go by Historical and believe the Passover, Mark's account makes the most sense.

If what Matthew 27:19 says is true. His wife got a sign (or if he got a sign or my guess a strong feeling which is not in the bible). Then the way Pilate acts in Mark, Matthew, Luke and John are more likely to be true. Romans and Greeks (and probably many other ancient people) took signs very serious unlike people today. It to me is the only thing that could explain Pilate not wanting to put Jesus death until the pressure from the High priest and the crow force his hand.

The lines in John 19:15 “We have no king but Caesar.” and to me the ace card (which is weird because it is earlier) John 19:12 "If you release this man, you are not Caesar's friend. Everyone who makes himself a king opposes Caesar.”. Which would of won the argument.

Many Christians including myself mere details the gospels together.

On this one I think the detail from John on what is said in the conversion are hard to prove since only Jesus, Pilate and his guards are there. Though John has lines that from the High priest that could of been said and would help explain Matthew account on the wife's signs as to why Pilate change his mind. I love the book John writing and story telling. The conversion with Pilate on Truth and his kingdom is not of this world (18:33-38) great.
I would love to see writing from Pilate (or a roman guard) on this conversion if we ever do.

Luke account on sending him to Herod is much the same problem. Pilate wanting to distance himself from killing Jesus. Only found in Luke. Also would like to see the day we get writing from Herod, Pilate or his guards on this.

Either way you look this from the Bible (any of the gospels) or just what would of happen historical. Pilate still allow Jesus to be Crucified since he had the authority. Yes there is pressure of revolts (which happens later on anyway) and himself might of been put to death. No amount of I am washing my hands of this takes away his decisions and his sins.

Hey Didact I would like to hear you opinion on this
