Ultimately, that has to gradually weigh heavily and break morale.

It most certainly does. Living in this country destroys one's ability to think strategically or work toward a long-term goal, because of just how depressing the place is. This is why shithole countries stay shitholes.

You have got to get out of there, man!

Working on it. Haven't been very successful, though.

I think we agree that the typical Indian person in India, even if they are educated and speak English, does not know a 6 from a 10, since 6 is the ceiling in India. I reckon that a girl in India from an upper class family gets told every day that she is 'beautiful' even if she is just a 5.

Yes, I agree on both counts. In my experience most Indians do not understand what real feminine beauty looks like. You could walk the streets of Delhi, Bombay, Calcutta, and Madras for hours and see not one single girl that would be considered even "pretty" by the standards of Russia, Ukraine, most of Eastern Europe, or Southeast Asia.

It's a sad state of affairs and it is made worse by the fact that Indian men have very low standards and massively dysfunctional programming when it comes to sex and marriage.

Johnny, you keep bringing the whole "Indian thing" into the comments. It is getting tiresome. Here's why.

Look, I get it, man, Indians don't understand the first thing about game, sociosexual hierarchies, or feminine beauty. But you evidently keep missing out on two major points.

First, I wasn't raised in the country that my passport says I'm from, and I had spent some 28 years outside of India before 2018. I'd lived in six countries by the time I was 22 and I've spent almost my entire adult life in Western countries. So my views, standards, and ideals are radically different from those of my supposed countrymen.

Second, I don't look, sound, walk, talk, act, eat, live, think, or worship like them, and both they and I know it. All you have to do is listen to a single episode of my podcast to realise this.

Comparing me with the rest of that country is like comparing a reef shark to a school of minnows. They are only distantly related, have totally different evolutionary strategies and movement patterns, and the latter views the former as an outsider and a threat.

The comparison with Leonardo da Vinci is flattering, but quite undeserved - he was a genius, I'm merely an observer. And none of my ideas or thoughts are particularly original.

I know you're being facetious, but I can't resist:

1) China and India have landed - or, in India's case, crashed - probes onto the Moon. Both use the metric system.

2) NASA JPL actually uses metric units, at least some of the time - but this resulted in the destruction of a Mars probe 10 years ago because the numpties at Lockheed Martin Astronautics used imperial.

And that's before we get to the question of whether Man actually went to the Moon in the first place )))

All of this is true - but it also comes down to what you can accustom yourself to using. Americans and Brits born and brought up within the imperial measurement system find it impossible to wrap their heads around metric. The reverse is true for everyone used to using metric trying to figure out things in imperial. One needs a calculator (or a slide rule) to run conversions, and ain't nobody got time for that.

The only remotely sensible defence that I have ever seen or heard for imperial units came from my old training partner for green belt, who pointed out that a ten-degree difference in Fahrenheit is qualitatively different to people who experience it than a ten-degree difference in Celsius.

This is true. Going from 70 to 80 F means the difference between "a beautiful spring day", and "boy it's a bit warm outside". Going from 20 to 30 C, on the other hand, means the difference between "a beautiful spring day" and "it's probably hotter in Hell... but not by much".

Agree with Veritas. That an Indian from India could have this good of an eye for what is and is not female beauty is remarkable, given how there is almost none in his immediate surroundings and most Indian men truly don't know what is a 6 and what is a 10.

Didact is analogous to Leonardo da Vinci accurately envisioning cars and airplanes in the 15th century.
