Ayup.

But, I'm not stuck, there or anywhere else, unless I choose to be. I have the funds and the opportunity to travel, which I spend a lot of time and effort doing. It complicates my life considerably, but I consider it to be a price worth paying for getting out and seeing the world a bit.

And the same idea applies for others as well. You're only stuck if you choose to be. I chose to be stuck in the USA for a long time. Then I got kicked out (more or less). I had to do some very hard and painful work on myself to deal with some of my issues. It hasn't been easy and it's still ongoing and very rough. But it forced me to move on and, I hope, up.

People who have only ever been in India probably don't even know that the outside world is not as pathetic of a place. But to have seen the outside, and then have to go back there….. that sucks, man..
