I don’t recall scorpion rampages in 4, I may have to replay it.

Yeah, there are two really big sequences. The first one is toward the end of the level, "Infinity", the next one is in the middle of the level, "Reclaimer". They are absolutely badass. You get to blast your way through so many Covenant Remnant positions and vehicles and slaughter a HUGE number of Grunts and Elites.

maybe episodic mini-campaigns for Small $ amounts?

It's possible. They have been talking about doing something like that for years - they started on something like this with Season 1 of Spartan Ops in HALO 4, but for some reason they just dropped it completely after only one season. I don't know why but I'm guessing it is because of budget reasons.

I'll have to pick up the previous versions at some point, just not inclined to get an X-box.

That said, have been having some fun with Doom 4 - and if you've seen the trailer for the next version, a few lines in that are certainly twisting the right panties into a bunch, like "they prefer mortally challenged" and about earth being a melting pot for all the universes.

I don’t recall scorpion rampages in 4, I may have to replay it. The ones in 3 were epic. Ahh, the Ark.

I hope they make a great story for infinite, but my biggest concern is that they don’t screw up the multiplayer. Halo 5 is pretty much perfect in that regard. The mechanics are excellent, and the forge is awesome too.

I do wonder if, given the “Infinite” name and the success of fortnite offering frequent updates, 343 might not be planning to use Halo Infinite as a platform for multiple campaign releases and ongoing smaller purchases.. maybe episodic mini-campaigns for Small $ amounts?

As long as teabagging is still possible, it should be a great game!
