Did the French have any influence In Thailand when they were establishing the empire in Southeast Asia in the 1860s? If so how?

Looking into my Crystal Ball of Epic Shitposting, I see an answer to a reader request forthcoming...

From what I can tell, the genetic admixture of Thailand is actually mostly Asian and Chinese - not a whole lot of European DNA going on there. But I will have to do some more research into it.

I'd also argue that Filipina s and the Viet women come a close 2nds and 3rd would be the Indian women from Goa, Kerala and Pointdcherry.

I agree with you about Pinay women, but most Vietnamese women are not really that pretty. They do present themselves quite well, though; Vietnamese women take good care of their looks, hair, and clothes, even though the average Vietnamese girl is no traffic-stopper.

However - I must disagree about Goan women. I was in Goa not three weeks ago and saw ZERO attractive native ladies there. Not a single one. It was depressing, to say the least.

Didact,

Did the French have any influence In Thailand when they were establishing the empire in Southeast Asia in the 1860s? If so how? Because the Thais were among the few countries that wasn't colonized. So I'm a tad confused :) She's lovely but my wife is loviler (nope not Thai) :)
I'd also argue that Filipina s and the Viet women come a close 2nds and 3rd would be the Indian women from Goa, Kerala and Pointdcherry.
