However, when I read that you are allowed to bring female partners I was gobsmacked. Men cannot truly open up with each other if women are present. Ivan is attempting to recreate the past tradition of men gathering together with fine food and drink without the accompanying division of the two sexes in separate rooms. Big mistake.
