Also re: car culture. Interestingly the US is starting to no longer have a car culture. Younger Americans regardless of ethnic origin seem to care less for automobiles as time goes on.

There are a few low riders and such left and car shows but the pure attachment to the automobile is fading. I've seen it fade in a decade

Some of this is taxes and overhead and Obama's destroying cars but a lot of it is urban culture and the fact that modern cars aren't user friendly and with a few insanely expensive exceptions that few can afford, even interesting

Reliability and small details aside every car is identical to every other one. Why bother?
