Seconded on the glorious bastard. Didact deserves a hell of a lot of praise. While I can't quite credit him with bringing me back to metal – Ringo gets that one – he's certainly turned me on to a lot of music I'd otherwise not have heard, and gets full credit for Sabaton and Gloryhammer.

FWIW – Amon Amarth has some awesome music on the instrumental side. Too bad the death-metal standard vocals are something I can only take in very small doses.
